PC Gamer has made the decision to delay its “PC Gaming Show 2020” to June 13 in a show of support for the Black Lives Matter movement. In a statement on its website, the publication writes, “Like you, we have found it hard over the last week to focus on anything other than the demands for justice and the justifiable anger that millions of Americans are expressing.”

Originally scheduled for June 6, the show has been pushed back one week to give more important issues some time in the spotlight. The news follows a statement from the publication on Monday that encouraged readers to donate to local charities and help end racial injustice in this country.

Promised to be packed with a ton of big announcements, hosting the PC Gaming Show this weekend would just feel plain wrong. There are way more important things going on in the world than video games, regardless of how much you may love this hobby. I promise you that waiting just a short bit for a new reveal won’t kill you.

PC Gamer will be updating fans with a new schedule in the coming days. For now, we just know that everything is being put on hold for an extra seven days.
