Fast autofocus gives the Lumix FZ48 (FZ47) massive brownie points, but the lack of Raw shooting (as per the last FZ45 model), a smaller zoom than much of the competition and image quality that doesn’t keep the curve on the up leaves the FZ48 feeling a touch tired in a competitive superzoom market. A good all-rounder undermined by its image quality.
