Here’s a few Pokémon face masks so you can showcase your love of Pokémon while avoiding infection.
Yes, it’s been a very eventful June so far, but I think we all need a reminder that the coronavirus is still out there and it’s still killing people. Protect yourself and others by washing your hands frequently and wearing a mask wherever you go out in public.
Safety announcement out of the way, let’s focus on getting our gamer chic on. There’s a new line of officially licensed Pokémon face masks on sale, and they’re just completely adorable.
From Japanese company Lovisia, these masks come in four different colors depending on your favorite Pokémon. Pikachu fans get rose, Eevee lovers get a lighter shade of pink, Psyduck trainers get baby blue, and Mew researchers get lavender.
Here’s the bad news: so far, they’re only being sold in Japan at cosmetic stores and Pokémon Centers. They’ll release on June 19 and have a price tag of 430 Yen (or about $4 USD). So far, there’s no mention of a wider release schedule, but here’s hoping these masks eventually make it across the ocean. We’re still many months away from a vaccine, so a face mask is your best line of defense against COVID-19.
