Riot Games releases Valorant update 0.49, a new patch that changes the characters Omen and Sage and adds new features. In Valorant update 0.47, Riot Games made changes to Raze, Sage, and fixed a major, game-breaking bug with Cypher’s Spycams. Fans of WayForward’s flagship series would be excused to forget that Shantae comes from all the way back in 2002, along with a slightly troubled development due to the industry of that time. Since it’s release the original game has become an incredibly rare Game Boy Color exclusive with an initially limited release, but players may soon be able to get their hands on the expensive cartridge. This news comes from WayForward, as well as Limited Run Games, who have recently announced that Shantae will be getting a re-release in physical form for the Game Boy Color, with pre-orders available in September....

A hefty portion of Blizzcon 2021 was dedicated to Overwatch 2, the sequel to the smash hit team-based first person shooter, Overwatch. In a nearly 40 minute “Behind the Scenes of Overwatch 2” video, key members of the development team explained they wanted to separate Overwatch 2 from the first game in certain areas, including more emphasis on PvE elements for players less geared toward competitive play. After dissecting the video, some fans feel Overwatch 2 might be making another big change that could affect both competitive and PvE play....

The Paris Eternal of the Overwatch League suffered another loss on Thursday, losing flex support Luís ‘Greyy’ Perestrelo to retirement. The twenty-six-year-old cited a lack of passion as one of the reasons for his decision. Paris has had a rough slide recently, losing another of their flex supports, Damien “HyP” Souville to retirement as well. Greyy admitted he would have made he decision to retire earlier, but HyP’s retirement forced him to wait it out a little while longer....

There’s a new bug (or possibly a feature) with Pathfinder and Octane’s Launch Pad that makes this robot practically fly. Season 5’s first update is here, and with it comes a whole bunch of changes in Apex Legends. The most recent update has provided characters with a slew of tweaks, with Lifeline receiving almost a complete rework, but Octane also getting some much-needed buffs. First, Octane’s Stim got a 10% speed increase and now also removes any movement debuffs that might be afflicting him....

The thirst for the hunt is strong, as the demo for Monster Hunter Rise has caused the Nintendo eShop to slow down. Capcom held a digital event for Monster Hunter Rise yesterday, which announced some of the new features in the game, like the ability to ride on monsters. Capcom also announced that a demo for Monster Hunter Rise would arrive on January 7/8 (depending on region), but the company neglected to mention the time when the demo would become available....

As many Monster Hunter World fans would likely agree, Capcom’s addition of Final Fantasy’s Behemoth to the action-RPG has given dedicated players a daunting challenge in defeating the gigantic canine-esque beast. That said, though, while lots of would-be hunters will surely attest to encountering myriad difficulties while taking on the standard iteration of the creature, an intrepid squad decided to increase the stress by fighting the hardest version of the monster–that is, “Extreme” Behemoth–and they managed to beat it in under five minutes....
