Done with Arkham City? Looking for a new bat-challenge on a different bat-channel? Look no further, for the delayed Gotham City Imposters, originally slated for a January 10, 2012 launch, has finally launched. Gotham City Impostors is a downloadable only, first person multiplayer shooter that looks, according to our own Jeff Schille, “gaudy” and “bizarre,” but in a good way. The game allows up to 12 players to battle for control of a completely unhinged Gotham City that has been overrun by imposters of both Batman and The Joker....

2K’s squad based shooter Spec Ops: The Line has dropped off the map in the past couple of months, as after one beta and numerous delays the title seemed to be pushed into the corner as 2K spent its time showing off BioShock: Infinite and The Darkness 2. Luckily, for those interested in the title (or those of you who just remembered this game still exists), 2K has promised that a brand new trailer will be released this upcoming Tuesday at 8AM (Eastern Time)....

Considering the lineage of the Call of Duty franchise, its free-to-play nature, and its crossplay feature, it’s easy to understand why Call of Duty: Warzone is one of the biggest games in the world. Hopping into a game that has taken the world by storm can be a bit intimidating for new players though, with many wondering how to start progressing. A new teaser has just been released for the next-gen horror game In Sound Mind. The game looks to be a psychological horror, and a free demo is available now to play on Steam. Modus Games’ In Sound Mind is headed to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC next year, adding to the list of next-gen horror games. The story teaser shows off some gameplay that players can expect, but also details about the spine-chilling narrative....

A recent sports game controversy is proving to be particularly frustrating to some. NBA 2K21 apparently has unskippable advertisements, and given the game is priced at $70 thanks to the next-gen video game price hike, many fans are annoyed that they have to pay extra money for a game that will then force them to watch ads. NBA 2K21 has been out for over a month now, and review bombing on Metacritic has resulted in a low user review score of 0....

Nexus Mods, one of the largest mod-sharing websites around, has announced that they will be implementing a “Donation Points” system to pay their mod creators. The system, which will start during the first quarter of 2018, will amount to a monthly stipend divided between creators on the site. Each month, Nexus Mods plans to pay between $5,000 - $10,000 into the system. That money will then be divided between the site’s creators based on how many unique downloads their mods accrued during that month, and paid out in Donation Points (DP), with 1,000 DP equivalent to $1....

Nike, no stranger to gaming culture, will introduce a new gaming-inspired Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage sneaker this fall. With a white, bright crimson, and black color scheme, the new shoe will feature a digitalized Swoosh logo, a gradient sole and a removable backtab with a patchable surface. The sneaker will also have a white upper that glows in the dark, while the lower heel will read, “have a good game.” This isn’t the first time Nike has referenced gaming....

The latest video on Nintendo’s YouTube channel is a strange one, as it’s a seven-minute-long mix of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition songs, cut to relaxing imagery from the game. The original Xenoblade Chronicles for the Nintendo Wii was considered one of the best games on the system. The love for the game was such that it received representation in the Super Smash Bros. series, with Shulk bringing the Monado to bear against his enemies in the 3DS/Wii U games....

In the realm of video games, one thing is certain: no matter how groundbreaking and engaging a gimmick, brand, or genre may become, players will eventually grow tired of it. Video game fans are a fickle bunch, and the developers and publishers of the Need For Speed franchise have learned that fact better than most. So after years of annual entries, current developer Ghost Games and publisher EA have announced that the series will be taking some time off, returning in 2015....

Following the panning of Anthem, many are looking at BioWare now more than ever to prove it is not just a shadow of its former self. Dragon Age 4, Anthem Next, and Mass Effect 5 all appear to be BioWare’s future, and that is indeed promising. Dragon Age 4 just needs to continue the flow of Inquisition, worse games than Anthem have successfully rebooted themselves, and Mass Effect 5 just needs to focus on what makes it special....

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a 2D platformer developed by Moon Studios under the umbrella of Microsoft Game Studios. Ori was a nominee in a few categories at this year’s The Game Awards and although it didn’t take home any accolades it has been an extremely well-received game. The game’s art direction, music, and gameplay stand out on both Xbox and Nintendo hardware, but apparently that wasn’t always the case on Switch....

As the first Outriders broadcast gave players a look at the Trickster, its abilities, and its healing mechanic, the second broadcast turns its eyes to the Pyromancer. The first class is about deadly speed and getting up close to enemies, whereas the Pyromancer is described early on as a “mid-range AOE damage dealer.” However, players are able to find their own playstyles within each of the class, and the Pyromancer’s abilities and skill trees prove this to be the case....

After months of speculation and rumors, Doomfist has finally arrived on the Overwatch public test realms. During the month’s when then the playable character was being teased, the community rallied behind the idea of Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor Terry Crews voicing the new roster member. The actor himself even got in on the fun by actively talking about the game and the character on Twitter. Crews, unfortunately, didn’t get the gig, but some creative fans are still finding ways to imagine what Doomfist might sound like if he had....

Activision Blizzard is currently under investigation following accusations of harassment, discrimination, and fostering a hostile work environment. You can read more about the investigation here. Playable characters were the driving force of Overwatch. Each new hero and villain sported a memorable backstory, as well as fantastic art and gameplay design. Blizzard essentially treated each new character as a celebration since then, complete with the introductory cinematics that were released alongside each playable character....

Overwatch players may want to prepare for a few heroes to leave the game’s current meta, or at the very least become less viable than they currently are. In the latest Overwatch patch, two damage heroes and a support hero are weakened, with the experimental changes ranging from slight to significant.
