Ocarina of Time’s Fire Temple contains several upgrades, including the Megaton Hammer and the Fire Medallion. It is accessible as Adult Link, and it is located on top of Death Mountain. In order to beat the temple though, Link must free all nine Gorons. Each Goron gives Link a door key, and the final Goron gives him the boss key. Upon entering the temple, Darunia asks Link to free his boulder brothers who are trapped inside the temple, thanks to Ganon, who wants to use them as Dragon food....

Australian fitness firm OliveX has acquired UK-based Zombies, Run! developer Six to Start for $6.65 million. The agreement includes all of the developer’s issued shares, as well as an additional $2.85 million linked to the studio’s future performance. Six to Start, which is specialized in fitness apps, is best known for Zombies, Run!, a 2012 mobile exergame for iOS and Android platforms. The game became the highest-grossing health and fitness app on Apple’s App Store within two weeks of its release and has been praised for its immersive storyline and mHealth features....

Outriders is set to release later this year, and if the latest Outriders Broadcast showed anything, it’s that it’s a game worth keeping tabs on. Thus far, it has hit all the right tabs, announcing no microtransactions, no Denuvo anti-cheat system, revealing it’s not a games as a service title, and it has revealed a decent amount of gameplay from the Trickster’s abilities and the gunplay to story beats and World Tiers....

A runaway success and 2016’s game of the year, Overwatch is a game shrouded in mystery. From the murky pasts of some of the characters to the origins and lore of the the Overwatch organization, this game, though rich in back story, still leaves us with a lot of questions and avenues to be explored. Overwatch has seen a lot of new content lately with patch 1.10 and the new Uprising event and it seems like some of the changes were not as well communicated as others. For example, although there was no announcement from Blizzard (at first), many Russian fans noticed that Pharah’s voice actress had changed with the patch. The fans took to the internet to discuss the stealth voice over change, where it seems that the voice actress herself learned about the switch from the fans....

The Overwatch League went on a few week hiatus to prepare for the next tournament following the wild success of the May Melee that saw two regions battle it out for bragging rights and wins for overall standings. League play is officially back starting June 13th which means the beginning of OWL’s newest tournament, the Summer Showdown. The Summer Showdown will work much like the May Melee did. Each North America team will play three matches over the course of the next three weeks and each Asia team will play four matches....

IO Interactive has finally resolved the issue of importing Hitman 2 levels into Hitman 3 for PC players. By the end of February, PC players on Steam will be able to port their levels through the Epic Games Store. “Whilst we’ve been busy launching Hitman 3, we’ve also been working on the promised solution for allowing PC players to import locations that they already own into the game on Epic. We’ve got that solution worked out and it’s currently being tested and verified from all angles to make it as robust as possible,” a forum post from IO reads....

Mystery Science Theater 3000 season 13 officially premiered on May 6, but Kickstarter backers were given early access to the first episode, “Santo in the Treasure of Dracula,” on March 4. The live event, the first hosted by MST3K’s own app, the Gizmoplex, opened with 20 minutes of technical difficulties. A black screen with a white dot (and host Joel Hodgson himself, from what appeared to be a kitchen) sporadically gave updates as the audience waited....

It seems that the Nintendo Switch may be facing competition in the future, in the form of a new piece of hardware that has been patented by Nintendo. The patent is for a gaming device that uses a single touchscreen. The main gimmick of the device is that it has the capability to connect to other versions of the same device in a seamless manner. This manifests in using the touchscreen to influence part of a game and send that information over to the other system, such as a game like Pong being played over the two screens, with each player controlling a bat on their screen and sending the ball over to the other when it is struck....

At the end of Nintendo’s February Direct, the company surprised viewers by announcing The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Nintendo Switch. This upcoming game is a complete remake of the classic Game Boy title. Although the original game is a single player adventure, it appears Nintendo is considering a multiplayer feature for the remake. On Nintendo’s page for Link’s Awakening, under number of players, “to be determined” is listed. This implies that Nintendo is currently deciding if the game will be two player, or just single player like the original game....

The latest firmware for the Nintendo Switch is now available, which updates the system to version 5.0. The biggest addition to the Nintendo Switch with this update is the ability to link the system to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. You can then add people to your Switch’s friend list if they have also linked their Facebook/Twitter accounts to their Switch. This means that you can now more easily bypass the dumb “Friend Code” system that has plagued Nintendo’s online services since they first started....

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is, according to many fans, the best version of Mario Kart ever released. The return of the classic battle mode might have a lot to do with it, but another thing that MK8 has going for it is the introduction of new characters and worlds previously never seen in the series. With its latest iteration, Mario Kart has slowly started its metamorphosis into Super Smash Kart, with the introduction of characters like Link, the Animal Crossing villagers, and the Inklings from Splatoon....

The Pokémon Company recently announced several new smartphone apps and games that will be released in the future, which was topped off with the crucial announcement of the Original Stitch Pokémon shirts receiving a worldwide release. The Pokémon Company held a press event called the Pokémon Business Strategy Announcement, which was broadcast worldwide on Twitch and YouTube. The conference announced new projects, such as a sequel to the Detective Pikachu video game on Nintendo Switch, a mobile game called Pokémon Sleep that rewards the player for sleeping, a new battle game called Pokémon Masters which uses prominent trainers from throughout the series, and a replacement for Pokémon Bank called Pokémon Home that can be used with a smartphone....
