It was recently revealed that Overwatch would be putting the Retribution map Rialto, which is located in Venice, into PTR this week. It has now been revealed that the map was not the only thing to be added to the PTR, as some character tweaks were introduced as well, with Hanzo getting the biggest overhaul. The patch notes for the recent PTR update were released in Overwatch’s official forums and detail what changes were made....
The Pac-Man World trilogy is well-remembered, although there may be some who decide that Pac-Man games should be left in the 1980s arcades. All in all, the first game, released for Playstation 1 in 1999, tends to have decent critic scores, and that’s because it’s a really fun entry for the system. Although PC players of Monster Hunter World had a rocky launch, the action role-playing game eventually corrected the course, even if it still sometimes plagued with connection errors. E3 2019 proves to be a roller coaster of ups and downs every year, which was apparently the case for Shane Satterfield whose car was stolen from the prestigious gaming show. However, Satterfield got the backing of the entire Mortal Kombat 11 community after creative director Ed Boon put an MK11 DLC character reveal on the table as a reward for helping find the stolen car. On June 13, the final day of E3 2019, Satterfield’s black Nissan 370Z was stolen between 9:15 AM to 11:30 AM....
Debuting last year, Mortal Shell quickly became one of the more revered games to try and capture FromSoftware’s notoriously punishing style of gameplay, combining swift combat, a creepy atmosphere, and plenty of powerful bosses to slay. A new trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League puts the focus on the origins of the DC superheroes. As part of marketing the much-awaited film, Snyder has been releasing information and clips over the past few months. The latest video, ‘The Mother Box Origins’ trailer, is a two-minute montage of art depicted on the different faces of the Mother Box, each portraying one of the hero’s stories. Released during the IGN Fan Fest, the trailer includes a look at Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash....
With the Arkham series setting the bar fairly high for Batman video games, the developers at WB Games Montreal decided to do something a little different with Batman: Arkham Origins. As the name implies, their game will be chronicling a particularly trying night for Bruce Wayne not at the height of his career, but the earliest days. Fans had initially taken that intention as a sign that they’d be introduced to a younger, less-experienced Batman; yet most of the game shown so far proves that Origins’ Batman is every bit the honed vigilante the Arkham series has made canon....

The Ghostbusters franchise has been revitalized recently in both video game and film form, and it looks like it’s not done yet. According to a report from Retail Merchandiser, a new Ghostbusters game is on its way to current gen systems. Not much is known about the new Ghostbusters title, except that it’s being developed by Activision, and that it’s timed to land around the same time as the upcoming Ghostbusters film....
The upcoming Monster Hunter movie starring Milla Jovovich has revealed some new images showcasing the main character’s Dual Blade weapons. In a recent interview with Empire, Jovovich and director Paul W.S. Anderson shared some new details on the movie which has, until now, been mostly shrouded in mystery. The Monster Hunter movie was announced back in October of 2018, but has reportedly been planned since as early as 2012. In typical video game movie adaptation fashion, the main character, Artemis (played by Jovovich) is from the real world, and is somehow transported to the world of Monster Hunter where she must struggle to survive....
It’s been almost two years since Electronic Arts launched a mainline Need for Speed game, and the last entry in the series wasn’t without its stir of controversy. Following the massive backlash in November 2017 for Star Wars Battlefront 2’s loot box fiasco, EA determined the same problems needed to be resolved in Need for Speed Payback, which released in the same month, and showcased its own problems with a drawn out progression system that enticed players to try and spend real money in order to cut down on playtime needed to acquire new cosmetic and performance upgrades....

Set 10 years after the zombie outbreak, the limited series explores the first generation to have grown up in the midst of an apocalypse. After roughly half a year of being closed, Nintendo NYC will be reopening its doors on August 7, 2020. On the store’s official Twitter page, Nintendo outlined some new regulations that will be in place to keep customers safe should they choose to enter the store. Obviously, marks will be required and the registers will be switching over to cashless payment methods only. Nintendo NYC has been closed since March 17, 2020, when New York went into lockdown....
With Final Fantasy VII Remake out and now, players have bee closely analyzing some of the smaller (and larger) details in the sprawling RPG remake. One such detail has included a minor voice within the game that some suspected was Patrick Warburton. One Twitter user, Chris FrostedFlakes Butler, tweeted at Warburton, asking if it was he who played the Neighborhood Watchman in Final Fantasy VII Remake. He added that the character sounds just like Warburton, which was supported by other Twitter users who supplied comments....
It’s a sad day in the industry as long time PC and console developer Vlambeer has decided to close its doors. The announcement comes on the same day that the studio celebrated 10 years since its original creation. Vlambeer is responsible for some cult classics like Ridiculous Fishing, Luftrausers, and the ever-popular Nuclear Throne. Nuclear Throne’s console launch on PS4 even led to then Sony President Shuhei Yoshida eating hot peppers celebrating the launch of the game back in 2014....
