Oculus has announced the price and release date for the Oculus Quest 2, the successor to the company’s first all-in-one headset released in May of 2019. The new headset boasts an improved design over the original device, along with better resolution and refined controllers. Plus, the newer headset will clock in at a lower price point than the original did by a significant amount. Releasing on October 13 for a starting price of $299, the new and improved Oculus Quest 2 boasts a resolution of 1832x1920 for each eye, as well as more power over its predecessor, though it’s about 10% lighter....

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is primed to be a runaway hit for Nintendo, but a few odd decisions have soured the excitement. For one, save files are limited to a single island per console, meaning multiple profiles all have to share the same space. Along with that, cloud saves won’t be supported for the game despite that being a prime feature of Nintendo’s paid subscription service, Switch Online. Well, we’ve finally gotten a full answer for the omission on cloud saves, but it might have been wiser for Nintendo to just remain quiet....

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is the first proper video game for the popular series, bringing Saitama, Genos, and the plethora of superheroes in the Hero Association to life in a new form. While the game may have received average reviews, that isn’t stopping plans for DLC, and now fans can see who the first DLC character will be. For the uninitiated, One Punch Man follows Saitama, who by all appearances, seems like a regular guy....

Unfortunately for fans of the high-octane arcade racing franchise known as Burnout, the series has been derelict for quite some time, or at least in terms of brand-new installments. With confirmation that series developer Criterion has no Burnout games in the works, it’s unclear when the franchise will re-emerge with a new release. However, fans who had been enjoying one of the developer’s old titles, Burnout Paradise, will be disappointed to hear the servers will be shutting down this summer....

From making Junkrat’s RIP-Tire out of LEGO to crafting a perfect replica of Lucio’s Sonic Amplifier, the Overwatch community certainly isn’t short of fans who are overflowing with creativity. The latest replica comes courtesy of a team of expert blacksmiths and craftsman at Man At Arms, who forged a seriously impressive real-life version of Roadhog’s fearsome Chain Hook. In celebration of Overwatch’s first year anniversary, the team at Man At Arms decided to commemorate the multiplayer shooter by taking inspiration from the historical real-life weapon, the man catcher, and crafting Roadhog’s Chain Hook using some high-quality 1050 steel....

XCOM 2: War of the Chosen is out now, and this deep expansion to XCOM 2 has been earning the plaudits of both fans and critics alike, with praise for the depth and scope of the expansion as a whole. Of course, the modding community was always going to expand on what Firaxis had made available at launch, and now those gamers who count themselves as fans of both XCOM and Overwatch have an excellent mod to get to grips with that adds Mercy to the game....

The Overwatch team may be hard at work on the game’s sequel, but the developers still took the time to celebrate the holidays with the game’s fans. Sharing a series of Overwatch art to the game’s official Twitter, Blizzard gives players another idea of how the game’s heroes celebrate every year. The first art piece shows members of the game’s cast in a stained-glass art style, with a rare meeting between Overwatch hero Mercy and Talon member Sombra being seen at the top of the art piece....

Overwatch has come out on top, earning the title of Game of the Year from the 2017 DICE Awards. The DICE Awards took place in Las Vegas on Thursday night, and Overwatch was nominated in six categories. Besides Game of the Year, Blizzard’s first-person hero shooter also nabbed Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay, and Action Game of the Year. The game tied for most awards of the show with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which led the nominations in ten categories....

Paper Mario: The Origami King has brought the RPG franchise to the Nintendo Switch, in an entry that oozes charm and humor, which has an intriguing battle system that is let down by its simplicity and lack of progression. The story of Paper Mario: The Origami King involves the Mushroom Kingdom being taken over by King Olly, the titular Origami King. Olly has transformed many of the kingdom’s residents into origami figures, including Princess Peach....

While the release date for NBA 2K21 is still up in the air, 2k Sports is taking this week to release all three of its covers. The first spoiled is the current-gen cover, and the honor went to a powerhouse player: Damian Lillard. NBA 2K games always have three different covers that gamers can choose from: a current generation player, a legend edition, and a next-gen player. While most fans are hoping that the recently-deceased Kobe Bryant will be the cover of the Legend Edition for 2K21, the covers were all undecided officially until this week....

AMD just wrapped up their second presentation after revealing the Ryzen 5000-series CPUs earlier in October, and this time it was all about the graphics cards. AMD’s Radeon 6000-series cards are right around the corner and they’ll go head to head against Nvidia’s latest RTX 3000-series of GPUs. The biggest question is whether or not AMD will be able to compete with Nvidia, who has held a lock on the PC gaming market for some time....

Players have found many hilarious glitches in Apex Legends since its release in February 2019. In Season 7, a few flying glitches have been found, including a couple with the new Season 7 character Horizon. Now, one fan has shared a glitch that apparently breaks the Olympus map height limit. Combining different legend abilities together in Apex Legends sometimes produces surprising exploits, including a past glitch where Pathfinder was able to fly around endlessly attached to Crypto’s drone....

Bursting onto the scene with a creepy announcement trailer back in March of this year, Quantum Error looks to be a terrifying new sci-fi horror action game slated to hit PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X at some point next year. The game takes place in an eerie research facility and sees players battling zombie-like monsters as they explore its eerie hallways. Although not much is currently known about the game outside of its chilling trailers, the studio behind the upcoming release, TeamKill Media, has recently seen fit to share some new screenshots....

As promised, Gearbox has unveiled a new trailer that confirms the September 13th release date for Borderlands 3 that was leaked earlier this week, as well as new information about the game’s characters. The trailer also confirms that the PC version of the game will be distributed through the Epic Games store at launch. The trailer includes some footage already seen in the announcement trailer shown at PAX East, but it also provides us with a lot of new information on gameplay, the Vault Hunters, the enemies, and the new worlds that players will be exploring....

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is only a few days away from its HBO Max release and in the run-up, Snyder and HBO have been sharing some teasers for each of the heroes that will star in the piece. As the final countdown begins, however, the 2nd official trailer for the film has dropped, and this time it’s Darkseid who gets some time in the spotlight. As many fans know by this point, one of the biggest changes to the Snyder Cut of Justice League is the reintroduction of Darkseid, the legendary DC villain who was meant to be the overarching antagonist of multiple DC films....

Beyond Pokemon, I’m not exactly a huge Nintendo fan. I’ve played the Mario and Zelda games sporadically, and I think they’re all quite good, but I can take or leave all of them. That being said, my housemate Will is a massive fan so I always end up watching him play the newest Nintendo titles. He’s just got Mario Golf: Super Rush, which actually looks like a ridiculous amount of fun, and I noticed the water in it has no business looking as good as it does - it’s just a golf game, why does the water need to look so great?...
