In an incredibly vague Tweet this morning, Square Enix announced that the much-maligned PC port of its exceptional action title would be receiving some form of an update soon. That’s all we know, too. Ever since its release back in 2017, the Steam version of NieR: Automata has been broken in a few key ways....

Mountain Pass is one of Outriders’ longer Expeditions. Tasked with defeating a boss at the top of a mountain, players will have to bring strong builds that can clear hordes of enemies quickly if they wish to farm this mission. The player’s Hunter can capture or kill vast monsters, use what they find to craft the ultimate Monster Hunter gear, and save Kamura Village from the dangers that assail it. Monster Sanctuary is headed to consoles very soon. Developed by Moi Rai Games (Denis Sinner) and published by Team 17, Monster Sanctuary first launched in Early Access on PC last year, but will see a console release on December 8, 2020. A new trailer has just been released for Monster Sanctuary to announce the game’s availability on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. The video highlights the game’s Metroidvania-meets-Pokemon mechanics and features, including monster collecting, fighting, and exploration....

Not too many racing games get mainstream acclaim as much as they used to. More recent examples like Forza Horizon get a lot of love for mixing arcade and sim driving together in a happy medium. Over the years, one of the biggest debates within the video game industry has been over the impact of video game piracy on game sales, with some even suggesting that anti-piracy measures cause piracy. Now, a recently-revealed study has concluded that there is insufficient evidence of video game piracy impacting negatively on video game sales. The study, which was carried out by Ecorys on behalf of the European Commission, took an in-depth look at the piracy of media in general, across movies, television, books, and games in the countries of the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, and Sweden....
