According to Bloomberg, a new “PUBG-related” game will be shipped “by next year,” while PUBG Studio, owned by Krafton, is said to be working on another mobile battle royale for 2021. Set in the PUBG universe several centuries in the future, The Callisto Protocol, a third-person survival horror game, is being developed by Striking Distance, which was founded by Glen Schofield, who had previously co-created the Dead Space series. The new game, announced in 2019, is being designed for the PS 5 and the Xbox Series X/S, as well as other platforms....

Now that the Warmind DLC has come and gone, many Destiny 2 players will be wondering what Bungie will be offering next in its online-only multiplayer first-person shooter. Winds & Leaves is currently being developed by Trebuchet Studio, the team behind the Steam and PS VR game Prison Boss VR. In both a YouTube announcement trailer and a blog post, PlayStation today announced Winds & Leaves, a PS VR exclusive. In the game, players are stranded in a barren landscape, but through exploration and experimentation, the world can be built up by planting vegetation; therefore bringing life....

Nintendo is going down under with Nintendo Labo, bringing their hands-on technology to Australian classrooms as Nintendo Australia partners up with 100 primary schools in the country. Nintendo’s stock value has dropped 7% after their E3 conference, which heavily promoted two games and left many fans doubtful over the release schedule of the Switch’s second year. Daniel Ahmad has reported on Twitter on the drop in stock value, with analysts reporting that the Switch is unlikely to reach its hardware sales goals. This can be attributed to the weak release schedule, as well as the anemic reaction to the Nintendo Labo line and the lack of features for the upcoming online service....

It’s been years in the making, but the International Olympics Committee (IOC) has finally acknowledged Esports as a legitimate sport, and is even set to host a series of VR sports competitions. The Olympics Virtual Series will take place between May 13 and June 23, and involve baseball, cycling, rowing, sailing and motor sports—all in VR. People Can Fly released a massive development update today, providing the Outriders community with information about a patch coming out next week. The patch should improve overall performance, while also reintroducing cross-play for all platforms. There’s currently no release date for the patch, but People Can Fly said it will release an updated schedule as soon as possible. For now, it’s simply scheduled for “next week.” The most exciting part of the update is the possibility for cross-play to finally function as intended....
