Parasite Eve, the science-fiction survival horror RPG series from Squaresoft - later Square Enix - has been mainly dormant since the release of the 3rd Birthday in 2011, and is one that Game Rant considers to be a horror game that needs a reboot. Now, evidence has come to light that may be happening, as Square Enix has now filed to trademark the title. Square Enix filed for a new trademark for Parasite Eve in the UK, as spotted by users on NeoGAF....

With the PC launch off to a rocky start, players around the world have been reporting issues with Destiny 2 instantly banning them for using third-party software in-game. Unfortunately, it’s not just cheaters that are suffering here, as programs such as Fraps and Discord are getting players banned from the game permanently, and with no way to dispute the claim currently available. Across the Destiny 2 community, reports are piling in from players who have been permanently banned from the newly-launched shooter simply for having some sort of overlay active in-game....

James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is getting a prequel on HBO Max, in the form of an eight episode spinoff focused on John Cena’s Peacemaker. Gunn will write all eight episodes and direct “multiple episodes, including the first” according to HBO Max. Peter Safran, who produced Aquaman, Shazam!, and Gunn’s upcoming The Suicide Squad will serve as producer on the show. All that’s known at the moment is that the series will explore Peacemaker’s origin story, and describes him as “a man who believes in peace at any cost — no matter how many people he has to kill to get it....

Monster Hunter Rise for Nintendo Switch has a limited-time free demo for new and veterans players to try out. With the demo only requiring 1.6GB of storage space, excited fans swarmed the downloadable demo, which caused quite the heavy strain on Nintendo’s eShop servers. Nintendo Japan is asking people on their official Twitter account to be patient so as to not crash the servers. A couple of months ago, Netflix announced that Superman actor Henry Cavill will lead the cast of the upcoming TV adaptation of The Witcher.
