UPDATE: Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope has now been officially unveiled, and we much more information here. Nintendo has revealed Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, set to release sometime in 2022. No trailer has yet been released, with Nintendo’s website showing off some screenshots and a short description of the game. It seems to be a sequel to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, which was launched in 2017. A sequel to the game was expected to appear at E3, but the title has now gone live on Nintendo’s official website with little fanfare....

Japan is getting its own special Disney-themed version of the Nintendo Switch. Disney fans might be sad to hear that this new toy will only be available for Japanese buyers, according to Nintendo Life. The reason for this is that it’s available with a special new bundle celebrating the arrival of Disney Tsum Tsum Festival, a Disney-themed Switch game that follows the Tsum Tsum franchise’s penchant for being full of fun mini-games....

The latest mod for No Man’s Sky lets players navigate their ships close to the planet’s surface, through caves, and even underwater, but it isn’t perfect. When No Man’s Sky was first announced, gamers’ minds were racing with the thought of an 18 quintillion-planet galaxy that was ripe for exploration. However, once No Man’s Sky officially launched it became clear that the exploration would have some restrictions or limitations. Luckily, the PC version of the game has mod support, which allows players to bypass some of the limitations in No Man’s Sky and experience the game as they imagined....

Bunny Day is today, so prepare to be inundated with way too many colorful eggs. Look, Easter-themed events are fun and all, but most of us have had our fill of Zipper and his endlessly cheerful attitude. And the eggs–we’ve definitely had enough of their freakin’ eggs! When Animal Crossing: New Horizons started the Bunny Day event, they got in on the action early: two whole weeks early. For the first few days it was fun, but then people started realizing that Zipper’s eggs were so numerous they were practically replacing all the materials that you’d normally get from shaking trees or hitting rocks....

It seems that all of Travis Touchdown’s adventures could be available on Nintendo’s latest console in the future, as No More Heroes has been rated for the Switch in Taiwan. The original No More Heroes was released for the Nintendo Wii in 2006. It was an over-the-top action game starring a wannabe assassin named Travis Touchdown, who carved his way through hordes of enemies with his lightsaber-style beam katana. Travis wants to be the top-ranked member of the United Assassins Association, and the only way to climb the ranks is to kill the people above him....

Many gamers have been keeping an eye on the release of Nvidia’s new GeForce RTX 30-series graphics cards. After all, a coveted, limited-supply item that goes on the market, often becomes a likely target for scalpers, and that’s exactly what happened to the 3080. Some were surprised when the Nvidia 3080 graphics card sold out instantly, meaning only bots could have been fast enough to put those orders in. Scalpers use bots to purchase limited-edition items with the intent of reselling them for a profit, and the practice tends to be bad news for both buyers and sellers....

Some recent news published by NVIDIA’s artificial intelligence research group reports that a new AI model succeeded in recreating the classic PAC-MAN arcade game from the ground up, entirely on its own. The AI system developed by the folks at NVIDIA goes by the name GameGAN, and drew on the power of generative adversarial networks (GANs) to mimic the game engine of PAC-MAN and thus recreate it. GANs are kinds of machine learning algorithms which can produce really authentic new examples of, say, photographs (and now video games), based on an existing dataset thereof....

Square Enix’s first foray back into a world of 2D sprites and turn-based combat for the Nintendo Switch, Octopath Traveler, was an undisputed success that left fans wanting more. The appeal of Square’s new, budding RPG series is owed in no small part to the strength of its characters, each as colourful and distinct as the next. From the wide-eyed, charitable Alfyn to the bold and vengeful Primrose, Octopath’s eight protagonists offer something for everyone....

Oddworld: New ’n’ Tasty, a remake of Oddworld Inhabitants’ 1997 puzzle-platformer Abe’s Oddysee, will arrive on Nintendo Switch on October 27. The game, which was first released in 2014, was praised for its puzzles, environments, visuals, and dynamic camera. On its Twitter page, Oddworld announced, “Hungry? Want something “New and Tasty” for your Nintendo Switch? Oddworld: New ’n’ Tasty is available to pre-order starting October 13th!” In the game, Mudokan Abe embarks on a journey to free himself and his comrades from RuptureFarms, where the Mudokans are destined to be turned into food for the evil Glukkons....

Although DICE and EA’s Star Wars Battlefront 2 is set to release in a little over a month, there’s another Battlefront sequel that is available to play right now. We’re talking, of course, about the original Star Wars Battlefront 2, which was developed by Pandemic and released back in 2005. Right now, gamers everywhere can revisit the iconic Star Wars-themed shooter and even head straight back into classic multiplayer action, thanks to newly restored online gameplay courtesy of Disney and GOG Galaxy....

As you level up in Outriders, you will earn Class Points. These are skill points that you can use to get new passive abilities for your character. There are loads of different abilities that you can pick for each class, but you won’t be able to get them all. Outriders has a level cap which prevents you from getting every passive ability for one character. This means that you need to pick which ones suit your playstyle best, creating many different builds for players to experiment with....

Enter Overcooked 2, a sequel that offers a more polished and comprehensive experience that successfully builds on what the original game brought to the table. When it comes to Blizzard’s team shooter Overwatch, one of the greatest strengths is the memorable cast. This diverse collection of heroes have unique playstyles that are key to contributing towards team-focused gameplay. While the team is consistently bringing changes to the characters, the recent Experimental Mode in Overwatch is getting a delay. To facilitate balancing, Blizzard put in an Experimental Mode for testing game modes and character tweaks. The update on March 4 made some interesting changes, such as speeding up Genji’s Shuriken speed and slightly increasing Zarya’s energy drain rate....

Blizzard already maintains a fairly regular content schedule for its multiplayer shooter, Overwatch. Following the recent release of the Chateau Guillard map, the developer is also planning to unveil a map for Junkertown too. And although this is enough to keep most fans occupied, one players have come up with an idea for where Blizzard could take the game next. Created by Joshua Llorente, the Favela map is “inspired” by the Overwatch art style and was made in Unreal Engine 4....

Brigitte is one of the most cheerful characters in the Overwatch universe, taking joy in her role as Reinhardt’s squire and being a constant source of positivity on any team in-game. As such, seeing her take on a demonic look is a bit unexpected, though one Overwatch cosplayer has done just that. More likely to be found at the cat cafe in the Kanezaka Deathmatch map than competing with Reaper for the most imposing character design, Brigitte’s surprise appearance as a demon comes courtesy of cosplayer Kamui....
