With Marvel’s Avengers now so close to release, it’s a tad surreal that it’s coming out at all, considering how much of an enigma the project was until its big reveal at E3 2019. But before Avengers fans can throw themselves into the game after sampling its beta, which has since ended, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have one more War Table to share. For those unfamiliar, the War Tables are livestreams where the developers provide further insight into the game’s mechanics, story, etc....

Nightdive Studios is really making the rounds today. Along with announcing an upcoming Shadow Man remaster, the house of remasters has updated 90s shooter SiN on Steam and GOG. Now coming in a package called SiN: Gold, this package includes both the main game and its expansion along with a host of general updates that improve its playability. Owners of the previous release on Steam (which initially shipped with pseudo-sequel SiN Episodes: Emergence) will receive the update for free while new adopters can nab it for $9....

Hello Games founder Sean Murray reveals that intergalactic exploration sim No Man’s Sky will only take up 6 GB of space on a Blu-ray disk when it launches next month. Ever since it was unveiled at the Spike VGX Awards back in 2013, No Man’s Sky has looked set to be one of the most expansive games of all time. However, its director has now revealed that its actually set to be much smaller than most other modern releases — in terms of file size, anyway....

You might remember Nexon as the Korean/Japanese game publisher helping to publish such titles as Final Fantasy 14 and FIFA Online 4 throughout Asia (along with help from their respective owners, Square Enix and EA). But while Nexon dabbles in the PC/console gaming industry, they make most of their money from mobile titles like KartRider and the upcoming mobile port of Dynasty Warriors 9. Those mobile games have given Nexon “significant” cash reserves, according to their recent press release, and so it has decided to spend some of that cash by investing in some of its competitors....

I have adored Pokemon since the anime series first debuted on UK TV. I jumped in after about eight episodes had aired, and it became a part of my daily ritual before heading to school for years. I was crazy about Pokemon, to the point where I basically only played the Pokemon games, the anime was my favourite series, and it was all I would talk about at school with my friends....

Last week, Overkill Software gave a proper introduction to the first playable character in its upcoming four-player co-op shooter game, The Walking Dead. While we still only know details about Aidan’s life before the zombie apocalypse, Overkill has teased what the other three playable characters look like in an image on its website. Since Aidan’s trailer is the only one available right now, the images of the other characters are darkened and it’s somewhat difficult to make out details....

After a vicious round of nerfs, Brigitte Lindholm, Overwatch’s mechanized shield-maiden, has been a controversial pick in the popular hero shooter. But one creative gamer is bringing some levity to the lady knight with a gut-busting alternative to her normal ultimate ability. Even after the release of its final new hero, and a sequel coming in the indistinct-but-hopefully-near future, Overwatch is still going strong four years after launch. The game primarily owes its longevity to a fierce competitive scene and tight, ability-rich gameplay, but features like the deeply customizable Workshop tool allow enterprising players to pump fresh life into the game with their personal creations....

Overwatch’s Workshop mode has allowed fans to create a good variety of modes and content, with tweaks to heroes being some of the most entertaining ideas. While Blizzard itself has done silly things with character animations, like making Zenyatta walk, it recently tasked the Overwatch community with making some of their own. Fans made the dev team’s wishes come true almost immediately. While Blizzard works on tweaking Ashe’s shotgun, it took the time to post a video on September 7th asking fans for certain workshop mashups....

Blizzard promised Overwatch fans that 2018 would bring a lot of new content to the game and the company is getting ready to deliver on that. While the unannounced Hero 27 remains firmly within the community crosshairs, next week sees the addition of the long-awaited Blizzard World map. Blizzard has also begun teasing a fairly big cosmetic update as well and to celebrate its impending launch, the studio is revealing a new item each day with Pharah being the first big reveal....

It’s safe to say that pretty much anyone reading this site is familiar with Pac-Man. He’s one of the most recognizable characters around, not to mention the immense popularity of his much-ported arcade debut and the fact that his more recent starring roles are still received relatively warmly. Some parts of the Pac-Man legend are relatively well-known — for instance, his origins as Puck-Man, a name that was later changed to avoid crude vandalism — but the complexity of the ghosts that are tasked with preventing Pac-Man from successfully eating his fill of pellets and fruit is something that frequently flies under the radar....

JRPGs are often a daunting affair. Final Fantasy, Persona, and similar games aren’t afraid to drown you in endless amounts of lore and complex mechanics that demand your full attention. Fail to drink it all in and you’ll fall behind, unable to sink into an experience that often takes dozens of hours to conquer. Compared to these juggernauts, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin feels like a comforting blanket filled with cutesy creatures and approachable ideas that make the genre remarkably easy to get into....

Alatreon is finally here, but hunters are finding this new Elder Dragon to be much more challenging than expected. As with most new additions to Monster Hunter World, Alatreon has received some substantial improvements since his last appearance in the series, and many are struggling with besting the beast. Alatreon first appeared in Monster Hunter Tri, and is largely considered the coolest monster in that whole generation. As one of the few Black Dragons, its power is well beyond that of any of the other Elder Dragons Monster Hunter World players have faced thus far....

Moreover, with Mortal Kombat 11 weaving various timeline inconsistencies across the games, a new film might pave way to a more cohesive take on the franchise’s lore. And for newcomers out there - yes, NetherRealm’s hit franchise isn’t just about kombat. Unfortunately, new players of the franchise might feel overwhelmed with the number of games they have to play just to prepare for the upcoming film....

Racing developer and publisher Motorsport Games, headquartered in Miami, Florida, has entered into an agreement to acquire Studio397, known for the rFactor 2 racing simulation platform, for an undisclosed sum. Studio397, based in the Netherlands, which uses “advanced physics, new graphics engine and competition infrastructure” to create realistic sim racing platforms, previously worked with Motorsport Games to develop the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual esports event, organized to replace the in-person 24 Hours of Le Mans, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic....

This past Friday, The Last of Us 2 hit the world, much to the excitement of fans who have eagerly been awaiting its release since its 2016 announcement. Even though fans are just starting to roll credits on the game, some people are already trying to get information about a possible sequel. In an interview, Neil Druckmann, one of the directors and writers of the game, commented on the possibility of The Last of Us 3, and he said about what fans would expect....

Despite lots of fan theories saying otherwise, Kingdom Hearts 3 and NEO: The World Ends With You aren’t connected to one another. As reported by KHInsider, Kingdom Hearts series director and The World Ends With You producer Tetsuya Nomura was asked in an interview with Gamekult whether a multiverse was forming between the two games. Nomura quickly shook the theory off saying, “There is no connection between the two. The area seen in Kingdom Hearts 3 and the Shibuya in NEO The World Ends with You are two completely different places”....
