With this week’s weekly reset, Destiny 2 fans can finally complete the Lost Cryptarch murder mystery quest. Veteran players from D1 will be happy to hear that this quest takes them back to a very familiar location: the Cosmodrome. For those unfamiliar, the Cosmodrome was the first patrol area that players got to explore in the first game, so this quest will bring back a lot of nostalgia for some players....
This week, Fortnite Battle Royale launched an updated version of its map featuring new points of interest, revamped textures, and some general improvements to gameplay performance. However, while the launch was mostly smooth, developer Epic Games did miss a major glitch with one of the game’s textures. In the new Junk Junction area, there is a large crane that doesn’t have any collision. As a result, players can walk through the crane until they are fully covered by the large vehicle....

First announced last month, the mobile game Nier Reincarnation has just received its first official gameplay trailer. There’s no action in sight — a strange departure for the series — and instead focuses on our mysterious character as they walk through a surreal world. Nier Reincarnation’s director, Yoko Taro, says that it is a “strangely startling type of game.” It’s certainly different from other Nier titles, but it looks like Reincarnation will still offer players an engaging story and some of the best graphics available on mobile devices....

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is officially live, players already hours into experiencing everything that the new expansion has to offer. For those who bought the new Oculus Quest 2 hoping to enjoy some of the Oculus Go titles may find themselves disappointed. In an interview with Forbes last week, Bartek Kmita, lead game designer at People Can Fly, said that any possible future DLC for Outriders would “be in the form of significant expansions with self-contained stories.” Kmita also said, “We have so many more stories to tell.” After finishing the 26-hour campaign, these sentiments gave me significant pause.
