February console sales numbers are in and once again the PS4 is outselling the Xbox One. Sony’s console hit big numbers this past month, while its competitor didn’t fall quite that far behind - moving about 90% of what the PS4 did. Unfortunately, last month’s NPD numbers do not include an official tally for the PS4. We do know that the Xbox One sold about 258,000 units, though, so its fair to assume Sony’s console sales were somewhere in the 286,000 range....

Early Thursday morning, Nvidia launched the first of its 3000 Series graphics cards in the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080. To say it was challenging launch would be an understatement. Nvidia had near-exclusivity to sell the 3080 Founder’s Edition through its own Nvidia storefront. It sold out instantly, with many believing that bot-driven scalpers claimed the entirety of Nvidia’s available cards. Nvidia has now acknowledged issues with the 3080’s launch, issuing an apology....

Geoff Keighley and Oculus Rift creator Palmer Lucky tease a ‘special announcement’ at The Game Awards 2015, with many fans hoping for an Oculus Rift release date. The Game Awards 2015 is really shaping up to be an exciting event as the annual celebration, which is now in its second year, has some high profile reveals up its sleeves. Already confirmed for the show are Quantum Break and Far Cry Primal gameplay while fighting game Mortal Kombat X will also introduce brand new fighters during the presentation....

Outriders’ Inferno quest takes players to one of the most unique tilesets in the game. Players will have to traverse a snowy mountain and a deadly volcano to deal with a deadly second boss with multiple phases. This mission has a rather tough boss fight and not many chests to loot. If you’re struggling to kill enemies at this stage, it’s recommended that you either lower your World Tier or farm the previous story mission before you proceed....

One of the most concerning things that fans can see from an exciting new game, with a huge amount of hype surrounding it, is a lack of transparency with the developer. It’s always a breath of fresh air when developers like People Can Fly are upfront about delays like on the upcoming Outriders that has a huge amount of hype surrounding it as a “Destiny-killer.” On top of how direct People Can Fly has been about Outriders, the developer has also shown off a good amount of the loot players will be fighting for before the game has even launched....

The gift giving time may be over, but Overwatch developer Blizzard is not letting players enter the New Year without a little special treat. For a limited time, all Overwatch players can earn 5 loot boxes tied to the Winter Wonderland 2017 event. Overwatch players don’t need to do anything special to earn the loot boxes beside log into the game anytime between now and January 1st, when the Winter Wonderland event ends....

Several changes came to Overwatch with the August 13 patch, but not all of them were listed in the official patch notes. One of these “secret” changes turns Mercy into one of the few heroes who can sing karaoke in Busan. For some reason, the Overwatch team chose to only let certain heroes sing onstage in Downtown Busan when players press the interact button by the microphone. As of Overwatch’s update on August 13, Mercy entered this limited group....

Mortal Kombat 11 recently pulled the curtain back on its Aftermath DLC expansion, which is set to add new story content to the popular fighting game alongside three DLC characters. Among the new Mortal Kombat 11 DLC fighters is RoboCop, and it’s now been confirmed exactly who will be providing the voice for RoboCop in the game. Mortal Kombat 11 game director Ed Boon has confirmed on Twitter that Peter Weller will be voicing RoboCop in Mortal Kombat 11....

Ever since it was announced back in April, it’s been clear that Cold Symmetry’s new action game Mortal Shell wears its Dark Souls influence on its sleeve, hewing very closely in many ways to the formula that made FromSoftware’s series such a hit. Many gamers probably thought that last year’s Portal 2 was out of this world. Recent leaks from the ProtoWarehouse Discord channel, as well as data helpfully extracted from data miners, suggest the AN-94 assault rifle could be coming to Call of Duty soon. Found prior to the season 4 release, the AN-94 files have not yet yielded a new assault rifle in-game. Historically, this actually matches patterns of the franchise, which often tease players with in-game items that would more accurately be found in the next title....

With 2021 approaching, Bungie reveals plans to have more weapons than previous Destiny 2 expansions Beyond Light and Shadowkeep.
