While it is just a taste of what will likely be a long road, the New Vegas footage shows promise and looks very impressive in the Fallout 4 engine. Total conversion mods are nothing new for the world of Fallout, Bethesda Game Studios, or even Bethesda published products, and they are unlikely to lose steam anytime soon....
Square Enix has released a gameplay deep dive showing off Alex’s powers in Life is Strange: True Colors. The trailer was shown as part of Square Enix’s E3 live stream and focused on Alex’s powers of telepathic empathy and seeing emotions through colorful auras. The new look shows Alex’s powers in action, allowing her to hear the thoughts of people with brightly coloured auras. By doing so, you can unlock new dialogue and choices within the game, which is shown by Alex reading the mind of someone within a bar and finding out they’ve cheated on their girlfriend....
Since the integration between Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, issues with cheating and hacking have seemingly been on the rise. In fact, this problem has gotten so big that many influential players have even begun to threaten to leave the popular free to play game. Team Ninja has confirmed that Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection will run at 4K/60fps on all consoles except for the Nintendo Switch, base PS4, and Xbox One. In a Twitter post, Team Ninja outlined that each game in the collection will run at 4K resolution and at 60fps on PS4 Pro, PS5, Steam, Xbox One X and the Xbox Series S and X. PC players will have to meet the required specs to hit those benchmarks, although these haven’t been announced just yet as the game currently lacks a Steam page....

Developer Ubisoft says the lack of an Assassin’s Creed video game for 2016 gives the franchise’s first full-length feature film a better chance at box office sales. During an earnings call this week, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemo discussed the Assassin’s Creed video game series’ absence in 2016, and explained that the studio taking a break from the franchise allows the film’s marketing department even more room for promotion. The Ubisoft executive went on to say that the movie’s “all-star” cast of Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, and Brendan Gleeson, as well as the “outstanding” director Justin Kurzel will be able to make the big screen version a hit without having the confusion of a game being advertised at the same time....

Following the announcement that Shinji Mikami would not be directing The Evil Within 2, the director has spoken up about his part in the upcoming sequel, saying that while his role is smaller he is still nonetheless involved with the game’s development. Since 2004, prestigious British film organization BAFTA (the British Academy of Film and Television) has hosted an annual awards ceremony for the previous year’s best video games. Dylan “Rudeism” Beck, a famously creative Overwatch player, uses bread to play as French sniper character Widowmaker. Beck has a long history of using ’non-traditional’ methods to play the game, previously playing as Hanzo with a Nerf bow. As detailed in a video on Twitter, this carbohydrate-based control schemes uses a breadboard and a motion-controlled baguette to get eliminations. The exact mechanics of the rig are unclear, but Beck has attached a buttons on the side to actually move Widowmaker and look down the sights, while moving the bread sees the sniper character look in any direction....
Activision may be planning to enter the world of augmented reality (AR) gaming, if a new GPS-related patent is any indication. This could open the door for Activision to release games in the style of Pokemon GO using any of the iconic franchises it owns. Wonder Woman Director, Patty Jenkins, has come out and said that the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron movie she will direct is not an adaptation of the classic games, her film will be an entirely original story. However, she also added that the movie will honor everything that has come under the Rogue Squadron franchise.
