Since its debut in November 2019, Need for Speed Heat has enjoyed a solid run. But now, developer Criterion Games is preparing for the next console generation with the series’ next game. However, Criterion and Electronic Arts will be sending Need for Speed Heat off in style with a final, massive update on June 9. In a press release, Matt Webster, Criterion Games’ general manager addressed fans to lay out the final update’s features and to tease a new Need for Speed game....

If 1899’s creators had been specifically instructed to make a TV series that’s impossible to watch while scrolling on your phone, they couldn’t have done a better job. This eight-episode mystery series demands full attention. Not only does its story slide between flashbacks, hallucinations, weird visual motifs and eye-widening cliffhanger twists, its huge cast of characters also all speak different languages. While many professional athletes moan about the in-game ratings assigned to them by EA Sports, the producers of Madden NFL 19 received a complaint from Dallas Cowboys defensive end Tyrone Crawford that was unlike any other. The Windsor, Ontario-born NFL athlete called out EA Sports for giving his in-game Madden NFL character model quite a gut, something which doesn’t reflect the 28-year-old player’s actual build. Unhappy that EA Tiburon had ‘made his body look like Humpty-Dumpty’, Tyrone supplemented his public call-out by tweeting several real life mid-game photos of himself that indicate EA Tiburon seems to have greatly exaggerated the expanse of his gut....

The indie farming sim Ooblets has released its Version 0.6 update for PC and Xbox players, bringing a new Wildlands area to the game as well as other locations and some quality-of-life upgrades. Ooblets is a quirky spin on the farming simulator genre. Players can grow plants from seeds that turn into Ooblets, which can later enter into Pokemon-like battles. However, instead of harming other Ooblets with attacks, the little creatures have dance battles with one another....

Outriders looks a bit like Sci-Fi: The Game in lots of the clips you might have seen online, although I’m relieved to confirm that it’s much more than that. It’s one of those games that I think a lot of people are curious about without really knowing a whole lot about what it entails - I personally reckon it’s the Avengers game Square wanted to make, except it’s set on an alien planet called Enoch and doesn’t make a point of including knockoff Robert Downey Jr....

Nine Dots Studio have announced the changes that face the world of Aurai in Outward’s new DLC. The expansion titled The Soroboreans will add a whole lot of new content to the survival game that is set for release on July 7. In a PlayStation blog post made by Nine Dots’ CEO Guillaume Boucher-Vidal, the DLC is said to contain a long list of fresh content including additional dungeons, skills and weapons with a new storyline and region to explore....

Overwatch’s Roadhog used to be a well-loved tank hero, using a devastating hook-shot combo to pick off enemies that were poorly positioned and turning the tides of battle in an instant. Since the recent Roadhog nerfs came into effect, the Australian outlaw has become significantly weaker in the eyes of the shooter’s playerbase, and new statistics reveal that almost no-one is playing the hero in-game at all. According to Overwatch statistic tracker Overbuff, the character’s pick rate is so low that Roadhog is now second only to Bastion in the list of least picked heroes....

The Overwatch League has announced that the Pacific region will not return for Season 2 of Overwatch Contenders this year. The Pacific champion of Season 1, Talon Esports, will receive a direct invite to the Contenders Korea Trials instead. The Contenders are also currently “exploring ways to build a unique experience for Pacific players,” as well as planning to deliver more consistent broadcasts. In Season 1, Overwatch Contenders employed a unified model across seven regions for the first half of 2020 and each region used a point-based tournament system....
