With Overwatch 2 having a full-on PvE story mode, there has never been a better time for Blizzard to address some of the Overwatch story’s lingering questions. While the hero shooter’s lore is wildly expansive and constantly being built upon through hero additions, it has led to many story threads being teased but left fully unexplored. As such, players have been waiting since 2016 to learn what the next move of the Overwatch character Hanzo will be following the discovery that his brother Genji is alive....

The 27th Overwatch hero, Brigitte, has now joined the game. The tank and support hybrid character is already proving to be a huge hit with fans of Blizzard’s multiplayer shooter and many are enjoying play as her in Quick Play and in the Arcade game modes. However, if players want to play as Brigitte in the game’s Competitive Play mode, they may have to wait a while. In a forum post, Overwatch principal designer Scott Mercer revealed that “Starting with the releases of Blizzard World and Brigitte, we made the decision to debut new maps and heroes in Competitive Play at the beginning of the season that follows their release....

A group of Overwatch players create an unofficial game mode called “Genji Badminton,” using the speedy character’s “Deflect” ability for some explosive fun. Though popular movie rental service Netflix has come under fire recently for separating its streaming and disc-based services into two distinct pricing categories, the company is not done making some bold changes. This newest announced change will separate the parent company Netflix into two distinct websites: Netflix for streaming and Qwikster for disc rentals. According to an announcement made by Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, the company is trying to justify their pricing separation with a complete service separation — one that will include independent queues and ratings....

This week, Rockstar Games released a new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 that gave players their first solid look at the story. Treyarch has been teasing something Zombies-related for a week now with many assuming, based on the initial teaser, that it was a remaster of Kino Der Toten. The free-to-play brawler on Switch, Ninjala, offers a load of colorful weapon skins. There is a weird catch though – they are consumables. This is something that is not often seen in games. A skin being a consumable seems kinda strange. The developers stated that this is a surefire way for them to make money without increasing the price of the gatcha machine. There is a way to keep your weapon consumables, and that is through Room Battles....

The next online Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament is coming this Friday, and it features the pesky Fake Smash Ball item. Items have been a staple in Super Smash Bros. since the very beginning. Like Mario Kart, items can turn the tide of a battle in an instant. Perhaps one player is barely surviving with over 100% damage, but then a miraculous Fairy Bottle pops up out of nowhere. Items won’t be found in true competitive play for obvious reasons, but they are great for a fun time between friends....
