After a Western release was seemingly confirmed in the past, Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, the highly anticipated sequel to Atlus’ JRPG Persona 5, was nowhere to be found in Koei Tecmo’s latest financial report. Koei Tecmo, known mostly for their work on the Dynasty Warriors series, teamed up with Atlus to create the latest game in the Persona 5 franchise. In the past year, the company’s financial reports hinted that a Western localization of Scramble was in the works, despite no official confirmation from Atlus....

As a follow-up to their wildly popular and critically-lauded downloadable adaptation, The Walking Dead, developer Telltale Games have selected Bill Willingham’s seminal graphic novel series “Fables”. The series imagines a world where fairy tale characters have fled their iconic homelands, and live amongst us regular folk. However, while they may be fairy tale characters, the stars of Willingham’s books deal with both ordinary and extraordinary problems. And so the task befalls Bigby Wolf (the comic’s version of the big bad wolf) to help his fellow fantasy characters out - hence the game’s title: The Wolf Among Us....

The Nintendo Switch has had a disappointing year in terms of exclusives, except for the juggernaut that is Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which might be successful enough to carry the company throughout the year. Numskull Games, the indie games publisher known for Deadly Premonition: Origins and Battle Axe, will be holding a showcase for their upcoming titles on Tuesday, July 21. The The nine-minute presentation, which will go live at 11 a.m. Pacific Time, will be the first time the company has held such a showcase. In a release, Numskull stated that there won’t be any new games announced during this showcase, but the format will be used for future announcements....

This past week, Nvidia revealed its upcoming RTX 3000 series video card, and to say the PC gaming enthusiast community was excited would be a gross understatement. Three specific cards were revealed during the event, the RTX 3070, RTX 3080, and RTX 3090. The 3080 will launch first on September 17, with the 3090 to follow on September 24, and the 3070 tentatively planned to launch in October. Octopath Traveler, the classic-style JRPG with high-definition visuals matched with 16-bit character models, finally has a release date. Annapurna Interactive is a pretty prolific video game publisher, even though it’s relatively young as a company.
