Osprey Games recently announced Jackals: Bronze Age Fantasy Roleplaying, the next tabletop roleplaying game in their quickly-growing RPG library. Jackals will bring you sword and sorcery roleplaying of the myths, cultures, and history of the Ancient Near East during the historical Bronze Age, and is currently scheduled to be published on February 4, 2021. Originally scheduled for September 4th through 7th in Seattle, Washington, PAX organizers have pulled the plug on PAX West in the face of COVID-19 concerns. Convention organizers will be combining the canceled con’s event schedule with the also-canceled PAX AUS to form PAX Online, a free digital convention that will be hosted from September 12 until September 20th. Organizers hope to retain as much of the PAX experience as possible, including industry panels, special presentations, and limited-edition merchandise....

I went into this knowing that Marc Spector had DID, that he was the avatar of Khonshu, that he was at least partially responsible for the death of Abdullah El-Faouly, that he could wake up in a psychiatric hospital and have to come to terms with what “reality” really means, and that he would likely be hiding a much murkier third identity inside him: Jake Lockley....
Alright, so the Mortal Kombat universe doesn’t actually have that many villains, per se. It’s rather surprising how many of the so-called “evil” characters are essentially neutral, more often than not. Or perhaps, in certain cases, they are simply unwilling villains. But generally speaking, aside from the obvious characters, most of them are just astonishingly selfish beings. That just doesn’t work out so well for the good guys, when something like Blaze can wield so much power....
