The world of warring ninja clans and weird looking magical eyeballs colour the world of Naruto. The well-known anime is filled with extremely powerful ninjas who can demolish mountains with their overpowered ninjutsu. Many among those who have been featured prominently in the series have developed a reputation both in-universe and out for being extremely skilled and fearsome in battle. While word of these ninjas often precedes them, with entire villages having to be evacuated in preparation for epic ninja battles in the immediate vicinity, some others among them are, in fact, quite weak in the applications of their deadly skills....

For nearly half a year, The Last of Us has been racking up solid sales numbers and critical acclaim - a trend that continues as the title dominated The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences’ DICE awards. Still, even though Naughty Dog once again raised the bar for interactive game/story experiences, there’s still plenty of room for refinement and evolution in the budding series. We’ll get our first glimpse at how the studio might iterate on the formula when the Ellie prequel DLC “Left Behind” hits on February 14th - with a heavy emphasis on stealth and trap gameplay (as opposed to third-person shooting)....

It’s been years since Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was released, but fans are still finding new things to love about the game. Developer Naughty Dog is the creator of many well-loved video game series, and fans have been particularly excited to pick out the Easter eggs in each of the studio’s games. Naughty Dog is the studio behind two excellent PlayStation video game franchises: Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted. The crossover of fan dreams occurred when the two series’ came together in Uncharted 4 as Nathan Drake and Elena sat down to play a round of Crash Bandicoot on the PS1....

Is it good news? It is for the cast, obviously, who won’t have to rely solely on UK panto roles and Strictly Come Dancing to pay the bills. It’s also good news for fans of cancelled shows everywhere crossing their fingers for resurrection. (Come on, The OA, we just have to believe.) For viewers though, it feels like… medium news, a bit like finding out the family pet you buried months earlier has come back to life....

Running through a zombie-filled Raccoon City can be stressful on its own but adding in the persistent threat of Nemesis only makes things worse. Most of the time Jill can run away to safety since, compared to the original Resident Evil 3, Nemesis is far more restricted in where it can go. However, there are good reasons to fight Nemesis, because a successful knockdown yields a Supply Case. These are described as “An Umbrella branded case with useful stuff inside,” though how useful will depend on the perception of each player....

Reboots are popping up more and more in video games, with both the upcoming Twisted Metal and Crystal Dynamic’s Tomb Raider among those shown off at this year’s E3. XCOM, a game developed by 2K Marin, is another title that is taking the reboot route, but those familiar with the series already know that they’re taking a much more drastic approach when it comes to the actual gameplay. The game was announced last year at E3 2010, but has seen minimal press up until it was shown off again during this year’s E3....

As the hype around the new generation of Nvidia graphics cards keeps building, more rumors and leaks about the Ampere powered GeForce RTX 30 Series continue to appear. The latest news suggests that the official announcement will be coming on September 9th 2020, slightly sooner than currently expected. This new leak comes from hardware gaming site GamersNexus, who claim to have spoken to Nvidia board partners regarding the announcement date, which existing rumors had pegged just over a week later on September 17th....

With only a week left until the launch of the Black Armory DLC, Bungie has finally sought fit to lift off the veil of secrecy surrounding its forthcoming Destiny 2 DLC. While most of the info came from Bungie’s ViDOC and release calendar, a few other details have made their way online via a variety of sources. Bungie’s press release, for example, has offered a closer look at three new exotic weapons coming to Destiny 2 with Black Armory....

Taiwanese chipmaker TSMC has reported a new manufacturing breakthrough that would enable a generational leap forward in computer chips. Their new 3nm manufacturing process would enable up to 250 million transistors per square millimeter of silicon wafer, which is over twice as dense as the best Intel node produced today. TSMC, which stands for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, is the chip maker the current chip provider for all AMD products, including Ryzen CPUs and Radeon GPUs....

Nintendo has revealed how much its employees are paid in Japan, along with some other notable statistics. Analyst Daniel Ahmad, who discovered as much whilst going through the Nintendo of Japan recruitment page, tweeted his findings, which include the average age of a Nintendo worker in Japan, the average salary, as mentioned above, and the length of employment, among other details. According to the page, the company has 2,271 workers currently under its employ and the average age for a Nintendo of Japan employee stands at 38....

Next week will see the release of two indie games for the Nintendo Switch: Octonaut and Holy Potatoes! What The Hell?! Holy Potatoes! What The Hell?! Is the first to be released, with a date of June 24. According to the Steam page, it’s a cooking management simulator that puts the player in the role of a potato chef named Sweeny Tots who’s been sent to hell for sins he committed in life....

Nintendo has doubled down on its removal of select Mario products at the end of March, including Super Mario 3D All-Stars. First reported by Nintendo Life, Nintendo’s official Twitter account has warned people that the “Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary” will end on March 31st. With the end of the campaign, a number of popular Mario products will no longer be available to purchase physically or digitally, the most popular being Super Mario 3D All-Stars....

For the longest time, Linux was the ugly duckling of the gaming world with very few games made for the platform and even fewer games being ported. Thankfully, that changed with Proton, a Linux compatibility tool built by Valve that essentially emulates Windows to run Windows games. As with all emulation software, it’s not perfect, and the ProtonDB website helps give potential Linux users a qualitative score for how well Proton gets things to run....

Octodad made a name for Young Horse with hilariously awkward controls and an adorably twisted setting. Now Young Horse is releasing an even more bizarre game and calling it Bugsnax. Its first and, so far only, game was released in 2014, so Young Horses is definitely due for a new release. Octodad was known for its slapstick comedy, with a cephalopod masquerading as a dad while only barely having control over his own limbs....
