Well, it’s Boxing Day, and after Epic Games rolled out Darkest Dungeon for free on its store for Christmas, it’s following that up with My Time At Portia, a more wholesome game than the former all about restoring your father’s workshop to its prime. Netflix’s Geeked Week didn’t bring the announcement we’ve all been waiting for, which is a release date for Witcher Season 2. Instead, we got a strange 12-second teaser video that seemed to center around Ciri, although the images came so fast and furious that it was hard to make any conclusions on much of anything. Today, Netflix released another 12-second teaser, but this time it seems to center on Geralt. It starts with Geralt stalking around a castle (which is probably Kaer Morhen), and then we’re bombarded with images of mostly knives, swords, and blades....

Gears of War 5 recently got quite the surprising addition to its multiplayer roster. Recently, Gears 5 revealed it was adding WWE superstars the New Day as DLC characters. The trio, consisting of wrestlers Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E, appear in custom COG armor based off the team’s iconic wrestling costumes. Now, the New Day are bringing their Gears of War 5 outfits to life as the trio entered the wrestling ring live wearing replicas of their in-game COG armor....

While players continue to work on their Solstice of Heroes armor and bounties before the even comes to an end later this month, Lord Saladin and the Iron Banner have returned following a lengthy time off. The event has a few new changes from the last time it was available in Destiny 2 including now being able to gain Valor rank and completely replacing the normal control flags with Iron Banner fire pits that light up in flames once captured....

Destiny players find new ornaments that were added to the game via its most recent update, allowing Guardians to customize some of the most iconic guns in the game. This week, Bungie updated Destiny to version 2.4.1, and among a laundry list of changes, the studio added some brand new content. Several new Ornaments have been spotted by eagle-eyed players, offering up some new ways to personalize a few of the game’s most recognizable weapons....

Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, is conducting a study that analyzes the characteristics, habits, pain and discomfort in casual and professional gamers. Considering how there are currently no studies on the toll gaming can take on a player’s body, this study could impact the industry as a whole. Garrick Forman, a PhD student, is part of the team at the University’s Neuromechanics and Ergonomics Lab that is leading the study on gaming-related injuries....

Christie announced the launch of its CounterAct line of commercial UV disinfection products for use in movie theaters, theme parks, museums, and other indoor venues. The products use the patented narrowband filtered Care222 excimer lamps of parent company Ushio to emit far-UVC 222nm light, which Christie says is the only UV technology capable of “continuously and significantly” reducing pathogens, including coronaviruses. With the number of reported COVID-19 cases on the rise as multiple countries enter the second wave of the pandemic, movie theaters are being forced to close their doors once again due to the lockdowns being imposed in order to slow the spread of the virus....

KartRider Rush+ is the team’s latest title, and it’s hoping to compete with the mustachioed plumber himself. Better yet, the developer has teamed up with the renowned HyperX to offer an incredible promotion for the mobile game. The KartRider series isn’t anything new. Since the DCEU failed to take off, the CW’s Arrowverse has scratched the itch of many comic book fans. After the massive Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, the CW is revealing its next plans for the shared universe. Recently, the CW announced the Arrowverse’s seventh show, Superman and Lois. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has halted production on all of the CW’s shows until 2021....
