Last week, yet another Dark Souls 3 speedrun record was smashed by Nemz38, a prolific competitor who has made a name for himself in the Dark Souls circuit. The talented gamer cleared all Souls Level 1 bosses in an astounding 1 hour and 36 minutes, beating the old record by about half a minute. Perhaps even more notably, this feat was his eighth world record in Dark Souls 3, a title known as one of the most notoriously challenging games in the modern market....

OnLive announced they plan to bring their online video game streaming service to the UK on September 22nd at the Eurogamer Expo London. Together with BT, their exclusive broadband partner, OnLive will be be showcasing upcoming games and tech and handing out thousands of OnLive game systems. OnLive launched their service in the US in June 2010 and offer a library of over 100 “top-tier” games to buy or rent - and an all-you-can-play Playpack Bundle of 70+ games including Homefront, Fear 3, and Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition for $9....

The sale began last week Monday but this week new offers have been released making last week’s look like a pittance. Just last week, Bundle Stars priced Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor with 18 DLC for $9.99. That’s a good price considering the base game alone is still a $30 purchase on Steam right now, but today Bundle Stars repriced the bundle to only $5....

Starz announced yesterday that Outlander has been renewed one last time. The beloved time-traveling period drama will end with season 8. While fans may not be ready yet to say goodbye to the Fraser family, there are a lot of positives that can be found in this announcement. First of all, no matter what happens during season 7 of Outlander, which will air this summer, the writers will have the opportunity to bring closure to the major and minor plots in season 8....

Recent hints suggest that Outriders is heading to Xbox Game Pass when the game releases on April 1, and that move would be an incredible business decision from Square Enix. Outriders is a co-op, third-person RPG where you choose from four distinct classes to play as. As a looter shooter with collectible weapons, linear main missions, and side quests in mini hubs, it’s set to enter a competitive market, but the free demo is already whetting players appetites....

When publisher Activision announced during their financial report in February that they expected Destiny to “become the best-selling new video game IP in history,” there were plenty of skeptics but few were up in arms over the claim as there was a good chance that Activision would be right. Making all of the right noises, Destiny is a bombastic new IP in a familiar genre (first-person shooting), from a familiar and proven developer (Bungie) who were taking on a concept that they knew like the back of their hand (sci-fi) but ultimately, the proof would be in the pudding....

It’s rare to find a kids’ movie that doesn’t involve the loss of at least one parent, yet this trope is usually more backstory than anything else—a distant event that establishes the emotional stakes but isn’t actively engaged with....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 3 is set to kick off on April 8, and like past seasons, it will introduce new playable multiplayer Operators for players to try out. Activision has confirmed three multiplayer Operators that will be coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare throughout Season 3, including a familiar face from the campaign, Alex. Please note that discussing Alex in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer will require some campaign spoilers, so those that have yet to finish the story should proceed with caution....

The team behind the upcoming mobile MMO Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds released an extended look video as part of Tokyo Game Show 2020. The presentation revealed new features coming to Cross Worlds, as well as the game’s focus on high-quality animation. Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is the latest entry in a franchise created by the Level-5 in 2010, which has seen two single-player role-playing games, a few Japan-only mobile spin-offs, and a poorly-received animated film....

The wait for Sylveon in Pokemon Go is almost over. The Eeveelution will make its in-game debut later this month. Niantic has been rolling out new Pokemon thick and fast this month in Pokemon Go. The Luminous Legends X event continues to take place, introducing Pancham and Pangoro to the game for the first time ever this week. Next week it will be replaced by the Y event, and Niantic has started to confirm what trainers can expect from both weeks of it....

A massive Nintendo leak reveals never-before-seen secrets about many classic Nintendo games. The data contained in this leak (which is being referred to as the “Gigaleak”) started spreading on 4chan fairly recently. We don’t know who initially acquired the information or where they got it from. We also can’t verify with absolute certainty that the information contained in this leak is real as Nintendo has not yet confirmed the validity of this leak....

A small and easy-to-miss tweak to Nintendo’s website may have hinted that it is planning on resurrecting the Pokemon Mini.
