Outriders developer People Can Fly has released a demo, allowing players to explore the upcoming looter-shooter and get a taste for the game. The demo offers players plenty of content, giving them missions to complete, NPCs to meet, and plenty of looting and shooting to do in a post-apocalyptic world. It’s more than enough to get a good grasp on how the game will play, making it a great way to spend some time for anybody who is curious about the upcoming title....

Capcom is aiming to change the way that players confront monsters in Monster Hunter Rise. The latest iteration in the long-running franchise is coming to the Nintendo Switch in a few weeks and thanks to the new Wirebug mechanic in play, things are a little bit different compared to 2018’s Monster Hunter: World. Instead of being locked down to the ground with there being just a few ways to get set up for aerial attacks, Rise allows hunters, regardless of weapon choice, to fly (somewhat freely) through the air to not only avoid enemy attacks quickly but also traverse the environments faster and use special combos that have never been seen before in the franchise....

It seems that transitioning the Monster Hunter series from a handheld/local play experience into a big budget console title has paid off for Capcom, as they have announced that Monster Hunter World is their best-selling game of all time. Capcom has revealed in a press release that Monster Hunter World has shipped over 7.5 million units across the world. These sales take into account both digital and physical copies of the game that have been sold for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One....

Much like its protagonist, Anthony Mandler’s Monster is a film obsessed with aesthetics. Main character Steve Harmon says he makes sense of his humanity through understanding the shapes and textures of the world around him, and with an occasionally heavy hand, director Mandler similarly captures Steve’s world through a stylized lens. A key mechanic in Mortal Kombat X was the X-Ray, a devastating high damage move that required players to spend their entire meter in order to perform it. For Mortal Kombat 11, NetherRealm made a few changes to the meter like splitting it up into two different bars, with one enhancing offensive moves and another controlling defensive abilities for escaping or for wake-up moves. The Japanese gaming industry is coming together once again for the New Game+ Expo on March 4, 2021. The event will be live-streamed on Twitch at 8AM PT that day. This year there will be ten companies participating in the event, showing upcoming titles in 2021 and possibly beyond. Siliconera notes that this will be the first time Hoa and Bladed Fury publisher PM Studios will be attending the New Game+ Expo....

Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi confirms that the development team at Polyphony Digital has started work on the next Gran Turismo game. The last game in the popular racing series was Gran Turismo Sport, a game which split critics and Gran Turismo fans for several reasons. Speaking to GT Planet, Yamauchi said that “obviously we’re working on the next Gran Turismo already.” The developer didn’t call the new game Gran Turismo 7 or Gran Turismo Sport 2, but Yamauchi does speak highly of what the development team achieved with the last game in the series....

Fans of the Pokemon series have been asking for a sequel to the N64 Pokemon Snap since its North American release in 2000. A new video game revolving around The Smurfs is currently in development from OSome Studio in partnership with publisher Microids. During Capcom’s Monster Hunter Rise live event today, it was revealed that a new feature is being added to the game: Wyvern Riding. Players will now be able to ride and control monsters and perform various actions while mounted. The new technique was first shown off in the event when the player hopped onto the back of a Tigrex using the new wirebugs introduced in Monster Hunter Rise. One would be forgiven then for thinking that the name of the technique was literal and only wyvern-type monsters could be ridden, however, that was later shown not to be the case as Azruros and Great Izuchi were shown being ridden....
