Marvel’s Avengers has kicked off its DLC season, with the young Hawkeye Kate Bishop joining the roster and her mentor Clint Barton set to follow. Both Black Panther and Spider-Man are set to come to the game this year as well, with a Captain Marvel appearance also likely to be seen at some point. While it is great to have established heroes join the game’s lineup of playable characters, Marvel’s Avengers could surprise its fans by adding some obscure DLC characters to the game....

One Piece will be receiving a live-action adaptation in the future, and the person who is penning the script has been revealed. The One Piece live-action series is being written by Matt Owens, whose previous credits include episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke Cage, and The Defenders. The announcement of Owen’s involvement in One Piece was made in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. According to the Anime News Network, Owens discussed his role in the project in Weekly Shonen Jump....

What’s a gamer to do with the never-ending sea of collector’s editions being produced for almost every big release? One writer suggests a rather simple solution. I wasn’t familiar with the sensation that some collector’s describe as a feeling they experience almost daily, depending on their areas of extreme interest. There was even a low buzzing in my ears, the kind that video games often simulate once a small child on the Internet throws a flashbang grenade at me and proceeds to riddle my online avatar with bullets before making obscene statements about me and my family....

One Unreal Engine 4 user decides to test out their game design abilities in a rather unique way, taking the time to recreate the first level of the original Doom in the engine. Doom may be the greatest pioneer of the first-person shooter genre, but that doesn’t mean that the seminal title has been forgotten about by modern gamers. The franchise is set to receive a fourth iteration this year, with the Bethesda-published DOOM expected to hit stores on May 13....

Outriders is Square Enix and People Can Fly’s upcoming sci-fi focused third-person shooter, and while the game still lacks an official release date, it likely ranks high on many’s most anticipated lists for its window of Q4 2020. It seems to bring the best of Destiny, Division 2, and Mass Effect into one concentrated shooter, all the while maintaining its own identity. And that is where the Outriders broadcast comes in: it makes clear that Outriders is indeed its own thing....

Overwatch has seen some big changes coming to a number of its heroes, including those that have been around since the beginning. Balancing work has hit Roadhog, for instance, and Junkrat is getting buffs in Overwatch’s Public Test Region. Now, D.Va has some serious changes being tested in the PTR, including one nerf and a number of buffs that should make her a very different hero. D.Va has recently been relegated to the duty of standing around with Defense Matrix and absorbing enemy damage – a role that isn’t much fun, especially considering her earlier role as an aggressive tank....

Overwatch 2 has proven to be a shockingly popular (so far) follow-up to the 2016 hero shooter that changed the genre. Between Overwatch 2‘s free-to-play status and the game’s incredibly rough launch, though, a lot of people are actually playing the “sequel” for the first time....

Fans of the Overwatch League have a lot to be excited for this weekend. The May Melee Tournament kicks off on Friday featuring two brackets (North America and Asia) as teams compete for bragging rights, money and extra wins to add to their record. On top of that, the league announced the return of Overwatch League token drops set to start this weekend. For those unaware of what tokens are, during the first two seasons of the Overwatch League, viewers who watched matches live were able to receive tokens they could use in-game to purchase team skins and exclusive skins such as the London Spitfire Winston skin or the JJoNak Zenyatta skin....

Fans of Overwatch are no strangers to the game’s frequent updates and tweaks. In fact, the relatively new “Experimental Mode” even offers players a chance to test-drive potential updates that have yet to be finalized. With so many changes being made to the game, it’s no surprise that glitches and bugs often find their way past developers’ and designers’ eyes. The latest version of Overwatch seems to feature another one of these notorious exploits on the Japan-inspired map, Hanamura....

When Panam jumps behind the wheel, no one in Night City is safe – not even her trusty sidekick, V. A ridiculous montage of Panam ramming into folks has recently graced the internet, proving there’s still a lot of work to be done with Cyberpunk 2077’s AI. The short clip – posted to Reddit earlier today – opens with a shot of Panam absolutely obliterating a poor NPC just trying to cross the street....

Following Kellex’s retirement from professional Overwatch, the Toronto Defiant have added main support player Kruise who was previously part of the Paris Eternal. He didn’t play in their match against the Los Angeles Gladiators this weekend, but is a welcome addition to the team after their starting main support’s depature. Kruise began his Overwatch League career last season with the Paris Eternal but Paris struggled for much of the 2019 season....

The title for this game couldn’t be more appropriate. Party Animals is a game that was just announced today during E3, and we’re all for it. Don’t be fooled by the image - this game is more brutal than you think it is. We’ve seen plenty of all brawl games out there, to be sure. One of the most popular of all includes Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, one of the top games of all time....

Party Animals, a forthcoming multiplayer game from Recreate Games, had more than 113,000 concurrent players on its fourth free trial day on Steam, breaking the previous record set by a Chinese game on the digital distribution platform. A demo of the game in which players take on the roles of puppies, kittens, sharks, dinosaurs, and other fuzzy creatures to battle friends was available from October 4 to 13. Following the success of Among Us and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, Party Animals seems on track to be the next party game smash....

The wait is just about over and Christopher Nolan’s Tenet is set to hit DVD/Digital release on December 15. Nolan’s latest blockbuster, which was one of the few films to brave the pandemic and release in theaters, suffered greatly due to the Coronavirus preventing people from viewing the film safely. While this outcome was predicted by many, Nolan and the studio insisted that the film debut in a proper silver screen format....

Monster hunting is at an all-time high, thanks in large part to last year’s mega-hit, Monster Hunter World as well as the recently released free-to-play game Dauntless. Content for Monster Hunter World has recently dried up a bit, with the last couple of events featuring Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher franchise as well as celebrating the launch anniversary came and went months ago. New content is on the way however, as a trailer for the Iceborne expansion revealed new story details....

Monster Hunter World is that special kind of game that sort of feels like it will never end. There are countless bars to fill up, items to obtain or craft, and a never-ending list of creatures to hunt down. The end-game is incredibly deep and, with the help of occasional content updates, players could be living in this world for years. Although the grind may never really end, there is a ceiling when it comes to hunter ranks....
