Nintendo is continuing its early Halloween celebrations with Splatoon 2, as the third-person squid shooter is due to launch its spooky Splatoween event later this month. Nintendo Directs routinely hit the monitors of many gamers’ computers on a monthly (or sometimes bi-monthly) basis, but it seems as though the methods by which people view Nintendo Directs is expanding for the region of Japan. According to Destructoid, the Nintendo Direct streaming app is separate from the Switch Online app. Further, the app is available exclusively in Japan on iOS and Android devices and allows users to view Nintendo Directs, purchase a variety of software, inspect play records, and more....

With the Tokyo Game Show 2020 starting soon, publisher Koei Tecmo has announced that Nioh 2’s “Darkness in the Capital” DLC pack will be heading to the game on October 15, 2020. Teased in the company’s schedule for TGS, the official Twitter account for the game flat out confirmed the date before any trailer or screenshots were shared. The No Man’s Sky: Companions update (also referred to as update 3.2) introduces the player to a weird and wonderful world of taming pet aliens. Hello Games founder Sean Murray discusses the possibility of bringing paid DLC to the studio’s space exploration and survival title No Man’s Sky sometime in the future. During a recent interview with the press outlet Daily Star, Hello Games’ Sean Murray stated that he could not rule out the possibility that No Man’s Sky will go on to have some paid DLC in the future.
