The day of reveal is finally here as Blizzard releases a new animated short, revealing that Sombra will be coming to Overwatch’s Public Test Realm next week. BlizzCon 2016 is off to a fantastic start as the convention’s opening ceremony showed off something that every Overwatch fan has been waiting for: Sombra. A new short named “Infiltration,” which features Sombra working alongside Reaper and Widowmaker to assassinate a target of great importance, was revealed as the hacker hero interrupted a look back at Overwatch’s beginnings, live on stream....

Overwatch’s notoriously toxic community is no secret among competitive gamers. While the game is no doubt fun and addictive, its reliance on aggressive tactics and complex team play mechanics can cause even the most relaxed players to fall victim to “heated gaming moments.” Although game developer Blizzard Entertainment is working hard to curb these issues of interpersonal toxicity, there seems to be something about the game itself that can cause gamers to lose their cool....

Microsoft confirms that the Play Anywhere program, which allows gamers to purchase one digital copy of a game to be played on both PC and Xbox One, will not require Xbox Live Gold. In today’s Kombat Kast, yet another character was officially confirmed for the title, and fans can now look forward to taking Kabal into battle when the new entry launches. After appearing only as an NPC in Mortal Kombat X, Kabal is back in full force for Mortal Kombat 11, and he is equipped with his signature Hook Swords....

Killing Nazi zombies is really, really fun. I was playing Zombie Army 4: Dead War last night, and as the killcam showed the bullet from my sniper rifle pierce the testicles of a rotting and resurrected Nazi, I let out a little chuckle. I’m a big fan of zombie games and movies in general, but there’s just something better about a Nazi zombie. I think it’s because Nazi zombies are like a bad guy 2-for-1 sale....

Netflix has deleted a tweet that seemingly announced a new Sonic the Hedgehog 3D animated show, which is due to start in 2022. Sonic has starred in a number of different 2D and 3D animated shows over the years. The quality of these shows has varied greatly, with Sonic SatAM in ‘93 widely regarded as one of the best. The Sonic license has never been hotter, thanks to the success of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, so it’s not surprising to learn that more Sonic media adaptations are on the way....

New Harry Potter domain names have been registered, creating further speculation that the heavily rumored Harry Potter RPG game is about to be announced. These domain names also lead to speculation that a larger Harry Potter event, similar to the DC Fandome, will be announced soon. Four different Harry Potter URLs have been registered. They are “wizardingworldfandome,” “harrypotterfandome,” “fantasticbeastsfandome,” and “portkeygamesfandome.” Portkey Games is the new game studio set up by Warner Brothers to create Harry Potter video games....

Avatar Studios is Nickelodeon’s latest venture to fuel the flames of nostalgia-based content. Avatar: The Last Airbender fans have been on a rollercoaster ride for the last year, first with the addition of Avatar and The Legend of Korra to Netflix and then the controversial announcement of a live-action adaptation. But Nickelodeon has just announced the creation of Avatar Studios. As the name implies, Avatar Studios will focus completely on the world of Avatar....

After years of being away from the spotlight, the Ninja Gaiden series is set to make a return on modern platforms. In the cleverly titled Ninja Gaiden Master Collection, all three of the Xbox trilogy titles will be made available for players to rage at on their platform of choice. While revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct, publisher Koei Tecmo has confirmed that this compilation will be heading to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on June 10, 2021....

The people who are too cheap to buy Splatoon 2 will have to wait a little longer for its no-frills alternative, as Ninjala has been pushed back to June. Ninjala is an upcoming free-to-play title for Nintendo Switch that bears a striking resemblance to the Splatoon series. The game involves ninja kids fighting each other in colorful environments using bubble gum-themed weapons. Ninjala was revealed during the recent Nintendo Direct in March, and there have been several Developer Diary videos released since then....

Developed by Feral Cat Den, Genesis Noir is a fresh take on a traditional point-and-click game, utilizing the Big Bang theory to drive the story.
