It was almost 13 years ago that Doom got its own action movie with Dwayne Johnson, but a new tweet by actress Nina Bergman reveals that Universal Studios is once again putting the intellectual property back onto the film forefront. Nina’s tweet is the first evidence that a film reboot of Doom was even on the cards, with the actress revealing that the script is complete and that she’s signed on for a role in the movie....
As fans of Fallout 4 continue to churn out mods of all shapes and sizes for the game, a total conversion mod known as Fallout: Miami has just dropped its first teaser trailer. Epic Games has officially announced that Black Manta has surfaced in Fortnite. Leaks and speculation have long pointed to Black Manta eventually arriving with the appearance of the Aquaman skin during the water-themed Season 3, Chapter 2. With Black Manta out now, you can have a long-awaited duel between the two characters. To unlock the Aquaman skin, you’ll have to complete all five of the weekly challenges. Upon the completion of the fifth challenge, you should get a notification that confirms you have received the skin....
PlayStation just dropped a new trailer for Ghost of Tsushima focusing on the protagonist’s samurai creed. The one-minute-long trailer is thought to be the last before the game’s release next month. Accompanying March’s story trailer, this final teaser has already been well-received on Twitter accompanied with a Jin emoji. The trailer does not promote any actual gameplay, therefore it’s fair to say this remaining teaser was designed to build some hype and nothing more....

It doesn’t help that there’s no way to kick squad members you don’t want to play with. Ubisoft has now released a PC hotfix in response to a spike of this intrusive lobby joining. This hotfix will prevent random hackers from joining your private lobby and wreaking havoc and confusion. The hotfix has made it so that anyone seeking to join a private lobby will be required to have at least one friend already in said lobby, whether they’ve hosted it, or just joined it....
In 2017, Nintendo released the Metroid 2 remake with a special edition pack that would make any Metroid fan weep. Metroid: Samus Returns Legacy Edition included a 40-page artbook, a game soundtrack featuring 25 songs from the series, a gold S-Mark pin, a morph ball keychain, and a SteelBook designed to look like the original Metroid 2 game cartridge. It was an incredible special edition. The products were gorgeous and authentic to the series....
Between the dates of September 21 and 27, Nintendo absolutely dominated the sales charts in Japan. According to the latest Famitsu report, nine of the top ten games were all Switch titles. The only non-Nintendo game on the list was eFootball Winning Eleven 2021 Season Update on PS4, clocking in at number five on the list. Not surprisingly, Super Mario 3D All-Stars claimed the top spot. Released a few weeks ago with a rapid marketing blitz – and timed availability – the title sold an estimated 63,803 copies during the week of September 21....

The original version of Assassin’s Creed III is off of Steam and Uplay, at least for now. While the news is disappointing for fans, there’s a silver lining; it means that the remastered version is coming to these platforms shortly, which is fantastic since the game is seven years old. Uplay users reported not seeing the original version of the game on that platform and only the remastered version. On Steam, you can still see where the original version was stored, but the purchase button is gone and there is a short notice informing people that the game was yanked offline at the publisher’s request....
Last month, publisher Starbreeze Studios announced that the console version of Overkill’s The Walking Dead is postponed indefinitely due to the fact that the game’s PC release performed poorly. Since then, the possibility of the game’s launch to the PS4 and Xbox One became increasingly unlikely as time went by. Several days ago, conflicting reports surfaced online that the console version of the game was apparently canceled. This was quickly disputed by Starbreeze Studios saying that the console version of Overkill’s The Walking Dead is not canceled but is “purely postponed whilst development is on-going....
Activision Blizzard is currently under investigation following accusations of harassment, discrimination, and fostering a hostile work environment. You can read more about the investigation here. On October 4th, Overwatch 2 finally launched. Well…kind of. The game is currently plagued by server issues and technical problems that prevent players from logging in, or, at the very least, actually enjoying matches. Those who have logged in, however, have found that the game is remarkably similar to Overwatch, save for a few changes that range from understandable to confusing....
Overwatch’s move away from an open queue to a role-based queue in mid-2019 was a controversial decision. The intent was to simplify the queuing process, but also cut down on the “tension, pressure, disappointment, or even hostility” involved, according to Blizzard. Yet many players, particularly top competitive players, preferred an open queue. Now the open queue is back in a limited-time Overwatch Arcade mode and it’s being received warmly. Better yet, Blizzard appears to be listening....
Right before the kick off of the Countdown Cup tournament, the Overwatch League announced the ten finalists for the 2020 MVP award. While some of the names were a given, there were some welcome additions and questionable snubs for the list. Overwatch fans were given a new Deathmatch map out of nowhere, with the free-for-all location including some gorgeous Japanese architecture and fun areas like a cat cafe.
