It appears that the Bottle Cap Challenge, which has been going viral for a couple of days now has already reached the world of Mortal Kombat 11. The latest viral challenge requires contenders to unscrew the cap of a plastic bottle by doing a side-kick without knocking down the bottle itself. Videos of people performing the challenge have been flooding the Internet recently, including celebrities like actors Jason Statham and Ryan Reynolds....

We’ve already written more generally about how director and writer Chloé Zhao used documentary techniques to blur real life and fiction in her neo-western drama Nomadland, which is now available to stream on Hulu. One of the chief filmmaking choices Zhao made was to utilize non-actors to play fictionalized versions of themselves. Characters like Linda May and Swankie are played by real-life nomads who live in their vans. Bob Wells, a vlogger and author who writes about life lived in his refurbished van, is the most famous of the actual nomads to appear in Nomadland....

Over the course of the lifespan of the God of War series, the game has traded hands and shifted around developers and directors as it progressed over multiple console generations and portable spin-offs. Saber Interactive’s Evil Dead: The Game is underway for 2021, incorporating plenty of beloved aspects from all the films and even the TV series, Ash vs Evil Dead. One of these characters, Ray Santiago’s Pablo Simon Bolivar, is joining the ranks of playable heroes.
