Nioh’s levels are harsh landscapes, filled with brutal enemies and devastating bosses that put you in your place the second you let your guard down or feel a little bit too cocksure of yourself. Any time your ego steps out of line, the enemies of the game are there to put it back in check. It’s almost too trying - or spicy - of an environment to squeeze any jokes or references into, but that did not stop Team Ninja....
No Man’s Sky: Prisms update 3.53 should be out on all platforms later today with a number of fixes. Not all of them are listed on the patch notes, mind you, but there are a few big issues that Hello Games felt important enough to mention. First was an issue that caused furry creatures to lose their hologram effect while on the Space Anomaly. Dragon Age 4 is currently in development at BioWare, set to see a brand-new player character face down Solas the Dread Wolf as he attempts to destroy the Veil. It includes characters introduced in the first game and follows directly from a major plotline introduced in Dragon Age 2 that could have huge implications in Dragon Age 4, especially considering the next game’s setting....
While a lot of the big announcements for E3 2017 were leaked ahead of time, one surprise didn’t slip through the cracks ahead of Microsoft’s press conference. At the event, the company announced that original Xbox backward compatibility would be making its way to Xbox One, but besides announcing Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge for the service, further details were scarce. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has now discussed original Xbox backward compatibility a bit more, revealing that it won’t be quite as ambitious as Xbox 360 BC....
Overwatch’s resident genius-geneticist and wicked healer is Hero 26, Dr. Moira O’Deorain. A scientist in genetic engineering, Moira is known for her slippery playstyle and her ability to harm just as much as she heals. Her backstory crisscrosses both Talon and Overwatch territories, (with a side of Blackwatch), and links her lore to multiple other playable Overwatch characters. You can thank Moira for not only Reaper’s abilities but also Doomfist’s — making her as important behind the scenes as she is in the spotlight....

The Overwatch winter holiday event has finally arrived. Winter Wonderland 2017 adds a brand new game mode (Mei’s Yeti Hunt) that lets a group of Meis team up to defeat Winston. The new event also introduces a variety of legendary skins and cosmetics. In a new trailer for the Overwatch event, Blizzard shows off the seven new legendary skins. These include Snow Owl Ana which costs 3000 credits and is a blue, white, and turquoise get up that gives the sniper an avian-style mask and bright yellow claws on her feet....

Jax was first introduced into the Mortal Kombat franchise with 1993’s Mortal Kombat 2. He has since been a mainstay on the roster throughout the years. Like the menacing mask of a Helghast soldier, Killzone’s vast mythology hides more than meets the eye. Playing as the intrepid ISA forces, gamers have been going up against the tyrannical rule of Helghan space-Nazis for years now, without ever stopping to consider that they themselves might be the bad guys. Though hardly a fresh take on the Killzone mythos, the ‘Helghast as goodies’ hypothesis does appear to carry plenty of merit, especially since developer Guerrilla Games seems to (indirectly) endorse it....
