Animal Crossing’s seasonal updates continue as the Northern Hemisphere enters Fall. Since launch, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has received consistent updates nearly every month. These updates added content that revolved around the changing of seasons and holidays. With Halloween coming soon, and Fall officially beginning on September 22, it should come as no surprise that players will soon be thrust into a world of changing leaves and spooky pumpkins. During the announcement for the second wave of the Summer update, Nintendo confirmed that the Fall update would be the next content drop....

Old School Runescape players across the globe are preparing for the return of the Deadman Mode Tournament that starts this Friday. The tournament will be a month-long as a part of Jagex’s contribution to the #PlayApartTogether movement, where they will be donating proceeds to several charities. The idea of Deadman Mode is that players will start completely from scratch and have to advance and level up as quickly as possible. However, you may have noticed that Woods sounds different in the trailer for Black Ops Cold War. That’s because the original actor, James C Burns, was not recast for the role, and he’s fairly upset about it. We don’t know the name of the actor that replaced Burns. Outriders has a plethora of side quests for players to find and complete. While most of these side quests only grant a rare or epic item, there are a few that guarantee a legendary. The Outrider’s Legacy is one such quest. Obtainable right as you reach Trench Town, this quest will task you with recovering three keys to open different sections of an Outriders bunker. It’s a rather long mission and spans multiple zones that are unlocked long after you reach Trench Town, so it’s recommended that you have every zone up to The Gate unlocked before you attempt this quest....

When will Overwatch 2 be released? That is the question many fans of the original worldwide have wanted answers to since the announcement that the sequel was in development at BlizzCon last year. In a recent teaser on the Overwatch Twitter account, Blizzard announced the arrival of the Chinese Lunar New Year event in Overwatch, this year featuring the Year of the Dog. The event is set to kick off on February 8. It is currently unknown which heroes will receive new skins and emotes in this event, but if the Year of the Rooster event is any indication, every hero will receive some cosmetics this time around....

Ever since Overwatch released in 2016, Blizzard has actively supported the growing roster of heroes with balance updates, additional lore, and new skins. Blizzard typically has a working prototype for each new hero about 3 months before the hero’s official release, and the conceptual design phase usually starts 3 months ahead of that. As in any large-scale production, many changes happen during these early days, and it turns out that Overwatch’s Ana is no exception to the general rule of thumb....

PC gamers have appreciated the Steam Workshop for how easy it is to upload mods and then to find and try said mods. Steam usually even takes care of installing a chosen mod, so the difficulty of following complex installation directions is eliminated. Nearly overnight, however, attitudes toward the Steam Workshop changed due to Valve’s decision to allow mod developers to sell their mods for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Many were concerned that complications would ensue, and these concerns were proven valid following the removal of a mod containing stolen content....

Paradox Interactive has announced that it’s opening a seventh studio in Barcelona, which will focus on games in the grand strategy genre. Paradox Interactive is a video game publisher that is known for releasing strategy games, including titles like Crusader Kings II (as well as the upcoming Crusader Kings III), Hearts of Iron, and Stellaris. Paradox has also published RPGs, like Pillars of Eternity, as well as owning the entire World of Darkness and Vampire: The Masquerade franchise, which includes the tabletop games and video games based on the properties....

After several failed attempts to get into the series, Monster Hunter World opened my eyes. The expedition of the fifth fleet took us to a brand new world with dozens of detailed, ferocious monsters that I couldn’t stop blunting my blades on. I was hooked instantly and adored traversing the world with my precious Palico pal as we took down ancient dinosaurs and all manner of other hostile beasties. Now, years removed from the launch of Monster Hunter World, the franchise is returning to its natural home on portable systems, and Monster Hunter Rise is, without a doubt, the next big Nintendo Switch game to get excited about....

Thanks to Mortal Kombat 11’s street date getting broken, we know that the game’s sole unlockable character is Frost. Frost has yet to be officially announced by NetherRealm or Warner Bros. Interactive, but footage of Frost in Mortal Kombat 11 has now leaked online thanks to someone who has an early copy of the game. The Mortal Kombat 11 Frost gameplay video isn’t the best quality, but it does show off some of her ice-based attacks....

Yesterday, it was confirmed that more information on these Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters would be revealed today, and that has now occurred with a newly released trailer, which not only gives details on the previously confirmed Shang Tsung but also reveals three more fighters for the roster....

Mr. Robot Season 3 may have been the show’s most atypically constructed season yet. The action in seasons 1 and 2 rise and rise and rise and rise. Season 2, for all of its faults mastered a sense of escalation. One of the most satisfying little Easter Eggs in the truly underrated season 2 finale is that its title, “Python,” didn’t refer to the coding language but rather actual pythons as it was the “slowly binding everyone in” strategy the FBI had employed....

It’s taken a few weeks, but fans of the My Hero Academia English dub will finally be able to watch Season 5 as of April 10. The first episode covers the aftermath of Endeavor and Hawks’ narrowly won fight against the High End Nomu, and soon dubbed fans will able to experience the tension of Japan’s now fearful hero society. Funimation has confirmed that the show’s key voice actors are reprising their roles in Season 5 with Justin Briner as Deku, Clifford Chapin as Bakugo, and Luci Christian as Ochaco....

Sharing a Netflix account is technically not allowed, but incredibly easy to get away with. All one has to do is hand over their log-in and password details to whoever they want, then that person can access the account and watch anything they want without paying, so long as they aren’t trying to have more than a few people watch at the same time. Of course, Netflix isn’t thrilled about that, as they’d much rather have every person watching on their service pay for an individual subscription....

Racing games are still going relatively strong in the midst of the shift to the current generation of consoles. Forza Horizon 2 and the recently release Project Cars are giving both arcade and simulation racing fans something to enjoy, but one of the most notable racing franchises, Need for Speed, has been a bit quiet lately. Ghost Games, the studio currently in charge of development of the game, was hit with layoffs last year, prompting many to wonder about the status of the then-unannounced NFS title....

Meanwhile, Obsidian has been busy getting fantasy RPG Pillars of Eternity ready for its March 26 release date – although due to some strict manufacturing timeframes, the Collector’s Edition may have to release without a physical copy of the game....
