Tintin has long been one of the most popular comic series in Europe. The comic had a very popular movie released in 2011, but now a brand new Tintin video game is in development for PC and consoles. The action-adventure is being developed by Moulinsart, as French publisher Microids has announced. Microids published Blacksad: Under the Skin, which won best action-adventure at Gamescom 2019, so perhaps Tintin is in the right hands moving forward....

Octopath Traveler was one of the biggest surprise hits of 2018, setting itself up to be one of the best titles on the Nintendo Switch so far. Now it seems that a couple new games in the series are on their way. The official Octopath Traveler channel confirmed that two new titles are in development, one for console and one for mobile. While the developers noted that development of the console game will take a bit more time, fans may be able to get their hands on the mobile game, Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, fairly soon....
The Oculus Quest 2 is one of the newest virtual reality headsets to hit the market, iterating on the original Quest’s design with a slimmer form factor and some technical improvements. However, concerning reports are beginning to emerge about trouble with Oculus’ Facebook integration, with some users even experiencing the device bricking due to an account error, turning it into a ‘paperweight,’ as some users put it. Facebook is making big changes to their corporate image, and part of that is restructuring its Oculus VR studio, Spark AR, and Portal teams into Facebook Reality Labs—or FRL for short. The company also states that their annual conference, formerly Oculus Connect, will now be called Facebook Connect. It will be happening on September 16. Facebook states that the change was made for the sake of clarity. To ensure that while Oculus is a Facebook product, they are moving toward a platform to “help people feel more present with each other, even when we’re apart....
Modern day sports games do what they can to keep rosters as up-to-date as possible. When a player gets traded, having them show up on the new team’s roster in an update is nice to see. In other cases, if a player’s performance takes a jump in the real world, adjusting their in game stats to match. As promised, Assassin’s Creed creator Patrice Désilets will see Ubisoft in court. Terminated from his position at the company this May, Désilets vowed to fight back “vigorously” against his now-two-time former employer on the grounds that his dismissal was “baseless” and “without merit.” A lawsuit has now been filed – with Désilets seeking $400,000 in damages and rights to his work-in-progress IP, fully titled 1666: Amsterdam. The news was revealed in an extensive court filing obtained by the Canadian outlet La Presse, and subsequent details regarding the run-up to Désilets’s departure were broken by Game Informer....
Details are finally available for the upcoming first season of the Kombat League in Mortal Kombat 11. As of June 18, players can compete online to climb in rank from Apprentice to Elder God in the Season of Blood. Beginning with this first release and likely going forward, the season lasts for four weeks and pits players against similarly ranked opponents. As speculated before the formal announcement, each set requires a best-two-out-of-three-matches victory to advance....

The amazing Unreal Engine 5 tech demo that was recently broadcast has now been confirmed to work on both the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5. On May 13, a trailer was shown for the Unreal Engine 5 that was called Lumen in the Land of Nanite, which revealed the kinds of things that the engine can do when ran through the PlayStation 5’s hardware. The demo showed off the incredible graphical quality that the system will be capable of, allowing for unprecedented levels of detail that can extend as far as the horizon....
