Nearly every game developed by From Software runs at a buttery-smooth 60 frames per second (FPS) on next-generation consoles. Be it Dark Souls or Sekrio, the famed studio’s catalog looks great on Sony and Microsoft’s new machines. With a couple irksome exceptions, that is. The most well-received launch title for either console is undoubtedly Demon’s Souls, the remake of From Software’s seminal action RPG that catapulted the Japanese studio into superstardom....

Moving is not something that a lot of us are doing these days, thanks to that ongoing pandemic we’ve heard so much about. So perhaps that’s why Moving Out was just the right type of couch co-op game at the right time. It’s a game where you play as a moving company, moving precious possessions from somebody’s house onto your truck. The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) unveiled on Friday its own safety guidelines for movie theaters as the major exhibitor chains began reopening around the country. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the guidelines are voluntary but require that all customers and employees wear face coverings as the coronavirus pandemic continues to rage mostly unchecked throughout the United States. NATO issued the guidelines as a vast majority of screens owned by major exhibitors like AMC Theatres and Regal Cinemas start opening their doors this weekend after a five-month COVID-19 enforced shutdown that nearly drove the theater business to the brink of extinction....

Gamescom didn’t just show off previously announced titles today, with a bevvy of world premieres sprinkled in throughout the whole show. Right off the bat, host Geoff Keighley dropped a trailer for Unknown9: Awakening, which had a whole bunch of splashy action, but not much explanation as to what the game actually is. Elisa Lam, a student from Vancouver, Canada, was found dead in 2013 at the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles, U.S.A. After eight years, Netflix has decided to dive deeper into the findings of the case with the new docuseries, Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel. A Crime Scene trailer released by Netflix shows clips from the hotel’s CCTV footage, which was released by the police, that went viral after Lam’s disappearance, along with interviews with hotel officials and guests....

It’s only been a month since players entered Far Cry 4’s Kyrat, but it looks like Ubisoft is anxious to make sure players don’t make a departure from the mountainous region of their award-winning shooter. The developer unveiled the first DLC for Far Cry 4 this week, called Escape from Durgesh Prison, which will be available for download on January 13, 2015. This DLC (high-res screenshots below) aims to add a slightly different experience than Far Cry players are used to....

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC 2 must be drawing near, as Bandai Namco has begun to share screenshots from the upcoming expansion. The latest of those screenshots shows off Goku and Vegeta’s Super Saiyan Blue form and official images of Golden Frieza within Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, as well as some other nice surprises. Most of this information is nothing that fans hadn’t already deduced themselves or seen in V Jump scans, but this serves as yet more official confirmation....

Fortnite’s Doomsday event earlier this week appears to have caused a glitch that has led to some players now seeing the game in first-person. Fortnite’s Doomsday event, dubbed “The Device”, was a huge success. Although Epic capped the in-game capacity at 12 million players — a cap that was hit well before the event started — another 8.4 million people watched it all go down via YouTube and Twitch. The event featured Midas’s Device altering the storm, maybe forever, and cutscenes that have raised a lot more questions than answers....

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has just released a Tweet with a video attached, which states that from today onwards he will be streaming exclusively on Mixer, a rival platform of Twitch. The popular streamer has been on Twitch since back in 2011, when it was still Justin.tv. Over that time he has amassed a record-breaking 14,718,282 followers, making him Twitch’s biggest streamer - for a time. The news has come as a shock to many, and his tweets provide some insight into his decision....

Popular Fortnite streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins along with DJ Marshmello have won Epic’s Fortnite charity tournament held at E3 2018. Ninja and Marshmello will now be able to donate $1 million to a charity of his choice. The tournament featured a total prize pool of $3 million, with the remaining $2 million to be donated to charities determined by the runners-up in the competition. Teams consisted of pre-selected celebrity and streamer duos that participated in three rounds: a warm-up singles match, a warm-up duos match, and finally, the actual tournament itself, a final duos match....

Nintendo has revealed the four NES and SNES games NSO subscribers will be able to play for free later this month. To be competitive in the console market in 2021, then companies need to offer consumers something for free, or for the price of a subscription service. PlayStation has PS Plus games, Xbox has Gold and Game Pass, and Nintendo has NSO. NSO subscribers have access to a library of NES and SNES games to play for free whenever they like....

When looking at Nioh’s selection of enemies, “sexy” is not the first word that comes to mind, however, that certainly doesn’t mean that seductive creatures were always off the table when Team Ninja was designing all of the various monsters and Yokai for players to do battle against. And some of them may have been… alluring. During a recent interview with Nioh franchise director Fumihiko Yasuda we couldn’t help but ask what kinds of enemies or bosses may have been cut from Nioh 2, and needless to say, we weren’t expecting the answer....

Drinkbox Studios, known for games such as Severed and the Guacamelee! series, has just unveiled its new action RPG called Nobody Saves The World. In it, you’ll take the shape of all sorts of characters, from knights to rats and horses, and take on quests in procedurally generated dungeons. The game will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC (both Windows Store and Steam) later this year. In case you were wondering, it will also be on Game Pass for both PC and consoles....
