From the outset, No Time To Die, the 25th official James Bond film, has had a troubled production. Sometimes, less really is more - at least, according to game-peripheral manufacturer Performance Designed Products. While the company is traditionally known for its “Afterglow” line (standard game controllers augmented with a clear plastic shell and multi-colored lights), PDP has recently started producing franchise-focused gamepads as well. The Portkey Games publishing label has so far released mobile Harry Potter games, and so fans of the franchise have been hungry for a proper console game release. Hogwarts Legacy is set to be the first major console Harry Potter video game since the start of the Portkey Games initiative, with it originally set to launch in 2021. Unfortunately, Hogwarts Legacy was delayed, pushing the game’s release date back from 2021 to an undetermined point in 2022....

During yesterday’s NieR related Livestream, Square Enix announced that 2017’s highly acclaimed NieR: Automata will be heading to Xbox Game Pass on April 2, 2020. Coming only to the console side (sorry PC players), this version will be the “Become As Gods” edition that includes all of the post-release DLC. That’s a really solid deal for anyone that hasn’t yet tried the game. It seems like Square Enix is gearing up for a heavily NieR featured year....

Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima will be stepping down, Nintendo announced today. The company also stated Kimishima’s replacement: Shuntaro Furukawa, board member of The Pokemon Company. Furukawa will be formally inducted in June. Furukawa graduated from Waseda University, with studies in the School of Political Science and Economics. He joined Nintendo in April, 1994, four years after the Super Nintendo Entertainment System released, and two years before the Nintendo 64 launched. As reported by Bloomberg, Nintendo hosted a news conference in Osaka to detail the change in management....

With a direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild on the horizon, we here at TheGamer have been sitting anxiously for some information regarding the release date. No matter how much we wish this weren’t the case – the final season of The 100 has some issues. Season 7 has largely shoved its primary protagonists, Clarke Griffin and Bellamy Blake, to the sidelines of its main narrative. It’s thrown itself into telling lore-heavy stories involving time dilation and teleportation stones, rather than wrapping up seven years’ worth of existing character arcs. It’s added a random dark commander as a new Big Bad for the gang to battle, but given him little reason to exist beyond the simple fact that he appears to enjoy killing and violence....
