Robot Entertainment’s tower defense and action hybrid series is set to continue this year with Orcs Must Die! 3, the first mainline game in the franchise since Orcs Must Die! 2 released in 2012. The title was announced during Gamescom 2019 as a timed exclusive for Google Stadia, a cloud-based streaming platform. Jerome K. Jones, Design Director at Robot Entertainment and the Lead Designer on Orcs Must Die! 3, has been involved with the series since its inception....

Several months ago, Overkill Software revealed Aidan, the first playable character in its upcoming The Walking Dead game, with the studio then releasing footage for the second playable character, Maya, just a few weeks ago. Now, the company has decided to continue eking out details about the title’s cast by putting out a fresh cinematic trailer that offers an idea of what to expect from the third playable character, Grant....

The Overwatch Halloween Terror event returns to the game next week, but many of the spooky new skins have leaked ahead of the festivities. Last year, there were a total of twelve Halloween themed skins available to Overwatch players. This year, at least five new ones have been added. Thanks to a post on Reddit, a few of those skins have been revealed a tad early. There’s a Zenyatta skin that makes him look like a robotic Cthulhu, a Mei skin that has her looking like a jiangshi, or a Chinese hopping vampire, and a Symmetra skin that gives her the appearance of a female Diablo....

Since its launch, the Overwatch League has been no stranger to controversy. A number of its players have faced disciplinary action for a variety of reasons, but one professional Overwatch player that has continuously found himself in trouble is Felix “xQc” Lengyel, who was recently hit with his second four game suspension and fined $4,000. In light of this, Lengyel and Dallas Fuel have “mutually agreed to part ways.” Lengyel’s latest suspension came about for repeatedly using a “racially disparaging” emote while streaming, and for using “disparaging language” against other players, including those in the Overwatch League....

The supposedly one-of-a-kind Nintendo PlayStation has finally been sold at auction, and it seems that the buyer got a great deal at $380,000 compared to what many expected to be the final selling price. Owner Terry Diebold announced his intention to sell the rare console last year, stating that he had previously turned down an offer of $1.2 million. If that offer was real, there must be some major regret felt right now....

Mordhau has a serious racism problem, but the developer insists they won’t add a character filter to appease racist players. Mordhau is a medieval sword fighting simulator game that really goes for the realism angle. This means there’s a ton of blood, gore, and decapitations, but also a hitherto unheard of level of intricacy in sword fighting technique. Unfortunately, while pursuing the “realism” of a medieval European battlefield, Mordhau developers Triternion also made a game that appealed to a very specific and unsavory demographic of gamers....

The new trailer for the first Mortal Kombat 11 DLC, aptly named the Kombat Pack 1, has given players a glimpse at new characters, all but confirming previous leaks and rumors about the two remaining guests. Fans were quick to point out that the music playing in the background of the gameplay was from The Terminator, indicating that the T-800 was about to make his brutal entrance into the game. Far more apparent now is that Ash from the Evil Dead series will also be joining the game, which means that Bruce Campbell has been playing us all for fools, and we love him for it....

Destiny 2’s new quest, Ascendant Hunter, will unlock the Coup de Grace quest, the final Wrathborn hunt mission that will close out the Season of the Hunt story. Although players were eager to free Crow from Spider’s lair, the in-game experience left players unsatisfied when they saw that the NPC remained trapped even after the quest was completed. The Ascendant Hunter quest from Destiny 2 starts off with getting lure mods and upgrades, directly from the Crow, who resides inside Spider’s safehouse....

In major news, The Pokemon Company announced Monday morning that it is partnering with Tencent to develop a new Pokemon game. The new game remains untitled but will be developed by Tencent’s flagship TiMi studio. TiMi is best known for creating the hugely successful MOBA Arena of Valor. This is the first development partnership between Tencent and The Pokemon Company, which has previously partnered with NetEase for its Chinese endeavors....

Pokemon Snap debuted way back in 1999, meaning that if New Pokemon Snap launches in 2021 - which seems likely given that Pokemon’s 25th anniversary is just around the corner - 22 years will have transpired between the original game and its upcoming sequel. IMMORTAL: Gates of Pyre is the latest game to attract attention on Kickstarter. In just four hours it raised the entirety of its $31,000 goal, and in ten days it made 300% of what was initially planned. Now a little over two days until the Kickstarter ends, IMMORTAL is sitting pretty at $137,403. This RTS title from developers SunSpear Games promises to be a “new take on strategy games”, with a particular focus on cooperative gameplay, but also featuring PvP and limited single player....
