Moon Review

Let’s get the obvious stuff out of the way first. Moon is directed by Duncan Jones, David Bowie’s son, uses old school miniatures and models instead of CG and directly references the classic ‘used future’ sci-fi style of the Seventies and Eighties. OK, now we have the cheap media hooks out of the way we can get down to the brass tacks, because Moon is, without doubt, one of the best English language films produced in years....

Mortal Kombat 11 Once Had A Much Different Storyline

Since reforming out of the ashes of Midway Games, Ed Boon and NetherRealm Studios have seemingly found a comfortable groove in alternating between two very popular fighting franchises. It’s most recent release, Mortal Kombat 11 continues the cliffhanger storyline left at the end of Mortal Kombat X with the fall of Shinnok and Raiden’s new darker persona. The game has already spawned plenty of downloadable content including an expansion which continued the experience and brought back a few familiar fighters along the way....

Multiplayer Is The Reason Human Fall Flat Sold One Million Copies Says No Brakes Games Ceo

Multiplayer is what brings us all together in these trying times. Life is hard and isn’t getting much easier, but a good multiplayer game can brighten your day and make all of the troubles of real life wash away. It’s also exactly what No Brakes Games’ CEO Tomas Sakalauskas attributes with his incredibly successful game Human Fall Flat passing its first one million in sales. In an interview we recently held with Tomas himself, we probed him about whether he expected the massive success of the game early on, and what he believes helped push it above and beyond his own expectations, and the reason is, among other things, multiplayer....

It’s all change in the world of the Batman these days. Bale out, Ben Affleck in, prequels over sequels and crossovers confirmed; it’s enough to send any self-respecting bat-fan into a state of hype-induced hysteria. New Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 Trailer And Screenshots

It’s that time of the year again: Konami is gearing up for the next season of soccer gaming with the annual Pro Evolution Soccer 2013. While last year’s edition of the game put in a solid performance, we were left questioning if Konami could really differentiate themselves from the massively-funded FIFA franchise, which has an absolute majority market share of the soccer gaming market. While only time will tell, we’re excited to see what Konami can bring to plate for PES 2013....

New British Tv Series From 2021 Bbc Itv Channel 4 Sky Dramas Britbox More

What were our UK TV obsessions in 2021? Nuclear submarine thriller Vigil provided six episodes of high-stakes underwater fun, while 1980s-set AIDS drama It’s a Sin, written by the next Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. Davies, deservedly topped many people’s ‘Best Of’ lists. April saw the release of Sky One original Intergalactic – the story of a wrongly imprisoned galactic pilot who breaks out of space jail with a gang of other high-security female prisoners, and there were crime dramas aplenty, from Bloodlands to Grace, to wiggy supernatural binge-fest Behind Her Eyes....

Nier Automata Has The Best Soundtrack Of All Time

One of the first projects I took on to keep myself occupied at the beginning of the pandemic was a mission to learn all the lyrics to Weight of the World from Nier: Automata - in Japanese. I know about ten Japanese words total, none of which are in the tune, so I thought this was going to take me ages. Instead, I managed to learn the whole song in about 20 minutes, because it turns out I’d heard it so often that all I had to do was learn how to properly pronounce the sounds I was already humming with near-perfect accuracy....

But their past is also marred with things like the often forgotten Wii U....

No Man S Sky S Multiplayer Is A Good Start

When Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky launched in early August 2016, hype surrounding the title was genuine. The developers promised near-infinite procedurally generated planets to explore, intriguing creatures to encounter, and, perhaps the most exciting element, a multiplayer experience. Unfortunately, No Man’s Sky failed to deliver on almost all fronts. Now, after a whirlwind of backlash, No Man’s Sky seems to have bounced back in its latest update that introduces multiplayer-like gameplay....

Notch S Side Project Minicraft Retitled Minitale Gets Official Sites

You’d think that after releasing Minecraft from its beta shackles last year, that developer Notch would want to take some time off and collect his thoughts. Unfortunately, for him, and fortunately for us, those creative juices just can’t be stopped, and we were blessed with Notch’s most recent creation, Minicraft, a few weeks ago. Created as part of a 48-hour theme-based game development competition, Minicraft appeared to be a spiritual successor to Minecraft, but really was its own clever, small-scale creation....
