Mortal Kombat X has enjoyed a very successful year on the market, quickly becoming the fastest selling game in the series and just recently launching a complete edition known as Mortal Kombat XL which brings together every piece of downloadable content and enhancements into one convenient package....

NBCUniversal seems to have high hopes for its upcoming limited series Joe Exotic, based on the same real life events that inspired Netflix’s Tiger King. The media conglomerate has now decided to premiere the Kate McKinnon-led series across 3 different platforms, including NBC itself, the Peacock streaming service, and the cable channel USA. With Kate McKinnon on board as both executive producer and in the lead role of Carole Baskin, it was clear the project would be rather high profile from the start....

On June 19, Desmond “Etika” Amofah went missing after uploading a video to YouTube that was essentially a suicide note. A few days later, the NYPD found Etika’s belongings on the Manhattan bridge, and then on June 25, it was confirmed that the YouTuber had died, having committed suicide by drowning. Prior to his death, Etika was known for making over-the-top YouTube reaction videos, typically about Nintendo games. In one of his videos, Etika requested that when he eventually died, he wanted to be buried at YouTube headquarters, located in San Bruno, California....

Netflix has reportedly struck a 7-figure deal for the rights to Matt Query short story “My Wife and I Bought A Ranch,” as well as scripting fees to bring on the author’s brother, Harrison Query, to write the script. Notably, the story was originally published on social media site Reddit, where it debuted in six parts. The original story features war-veteran Harry and his wife Sasha, who manage to get a good deal on a ranch in Idaho, only to discover that their new dream home is haunted by sinister spirits....

It has been a couple of years ever since the giant streaming platform Netflix revealed that The Witcher series will be adapted into a TV show. Several months ago, Netflix finally confirmed some of the actors that would comprise the cast of the upcoming TV series with Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill leading the pack as Geralt of Rivia. Now, a leaked photo was discovered online that shows a shot of the actor in action....

After the six year wait between Blood Money and Absolution, fans of the Hitman franchise should be used to patiently waiting for development news at this point. After Square Enix confirmed that Hitman 6 (not officially titled) was in the works at IO Interactive a few months back, things have been all quiet on Agent 47’s front. Many fans have been theorizing about what kind of news surrounding the game will pop up at E3, but the developer is now warning the community not to get their hopes up just yet....

In the forthcoming 1.0.4 update, BioWare is introducing Elysian Chests to its latest looter shooter, Anthem. These chests should go a long way in vamping the endgame Stronghold content, because these Elysian Chests will appear at the end of the three major Strongholds. When opened with a key, these chests will offer rewards of a single vanity item or Masterwork crafting materials for every player taking on the Stronghold. Moreover, players will not get any duplicates from these Elysian Chests and every item is exclusive, meaning players won’t ever see them on sale in Anthem’s in-game store....

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is quickly making its way towards the first official Season of content. Once Warzone has integrated with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, players will be able to earn a few extra items through the in-game battle pass system. Until then, players will be receiving a free Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Pre-Season bundle of content. This small package gives players a few extra blueprints and skins to help entice them further before the official season begins....

With the stay-at-home order still under effect for many, now is a great time to enjoy a few video games, and possibly even with roommates or family members. Enter Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics by Nintendo. As the title implies, the upcoming Nintendo Switch title contains 51 tabletop games that can either be played locally or online with up to three other players. These 51 games are wide-ranging and are reminiscent of well-known board and tabletop games across the globe....

The recent Unearthed Arcana has provided avid Dungeons & Dragons players new feats that offer each player to progress a characters skill or gain a new ability. There are 16 feats in total that have been presented to players that offer some interesting abilities for characters to master. Unearthed Arcana is designed to unearth new material for playtesting that drives the creativity of a D&D player. While the material is not refined enough for a final game, the drafts are suitable for a campaign and is updated fairly regularly to keep player’s imaginations alight....

New screenshots of Mass Effect: Andromeda surface on Twitter today, with new looks at the Krogan and Asari companions that will accompany the Ryder twins. With just over a month before Mass Effect: Andromeda’s release to go, news regarding BioWare’s latest instalment in the sci-fi RPG series has been hitting hard and fast. Just recently, Mass Effect: Andromeda’s director discussed the game’s villains, the Kett, stating that they would be more nuanced and intriguing than the original trilogy’s Reapers....

It finally happened! The first Thor: Love and Thunder trailer was all good vibes, man. Bright colors. Taika Waititi’s trademark sense of humor. The promise of the continuing redemption arc of the God of Thunder. An amazing instrumental version of Guns n’ Roses “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” And the second Thor: Love and Thunder trailer? Well, it has bright colors, that director’s humor (and voice), the aforementioned redemption arc, that killer GnR tune again....

Appropriately called the Titan “Behemoth,” this new Stasis subclass will cater to what Titans already love doing in Destiny 2: punching stuff in the face. Nintendo of Europe is poised to kick off a major promotion this week, having announced what should be an attractive Spring sale for the Switch. According to a tweet from the gaming giants, users will be able to get as much as 80 percent off on over 300 titles from the Nintendo eShop as of Thursday, April 2. There’s no word yet on what the exact games will be; we will be sure to have a list for you when they’re revealed....

While not the remasters we’re hoping for, Nintendo and Hasbro have revealed Super Mario Celebration Monopoly and Jenga sets. The Monopoly set will be releasing for $29.99 on August 1. On the Monopoly set, iconic locations from the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond are available to buy with your fictional dollars. These include areas such as Yoshi’s Island, New Donk City, Super Bell Hill, Delfino Plaza, and more. There is a distinct lack of Bob-Omb Battlefield from Super Mario 64, however....

After months of furious debate, No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games clears the air on the highly anticipated game’s release date, VR-support stance, and whether the game will hit retail shelves. While Spike’s final video game awards show featured plenty of reveals (including the world’s first look at Tales from the Borderlands), it was Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky that really got people talking. With its bright, lush visuals and promises of a massive galaxy to explore, gamer’s tongues were practically wagging at the potential that the game presented....
