After four years as the most-played game each week in South Korea, League of Legends finally loses the crown to Blizzard’s massively successful first-person shooter Overwatch. Ever since its release last month, Blizzard’s critically-acclaimed first-person shooter Overwatch has been nothing short of a massive success. The game saw over 7 million players within its first week of sale, and was ranked among the best selling games in May, despite being released towards the end of the month....

Continuing the tradition of video game winter events this month, Blizzard just announced that the Overwatch Winter Wonderland 2020 in-game celebration will kick off today. You can go ahead and get started playing for that new loot now, and the even ends next month on January 5. Every year, Blizzard releases a round of winter-themed skins and gameplay modes to spread a little holiday cheer. The new skins, emote, and intros from previous events are also back, so if you’ve missed the Winter Wonderland celebrations from years past, don’t worry....

Now, a new rumor suggests that a forthcoming Bully 2 will continue to follow Jimmy’s exploits, but, according to the rumor, the character has traded in Bullworth Academy for something new. New Pokemon Snap is a photography game, but it doesn’t really have a photo mode. I kind of get it, but I also kind of hate it. The challenge of the game is to not only take as many pictures as possible, but to take perfectly timed ones, capturing different Pokemon in a variety of ways. The game is played at speed; you move through the course at a predetermined pace, and can either slow down to zoom or speed up with turbo, but even this is a very binary slow-medium-fast deal, rather than anything more controlled....

There may be a bit of hiatus before the next movie launches, but a new director has been confirmed for a new Star Wars movie. Taikia Waititi, perhaps best known for Thor: Ragnarok and the season finale episode of The Mandalorian, has been tapped to direct and co-write a new Star Wars film, set for theatrical release....

Hello Games’ founder Sean Murray announces that a new PC patch officially releases for No Man’s Sky, with the space exploration title’s PlayStation 4 update on the way. After promising that No Man’s Sky’s next patch will make fans “very happy,” the developers at Hello Games have now officially put out the anticipated update for the release’s PC players on Steam and GOG, while its PlayStation 4 version is still in the works....

The flow of new graphics hardware into the PC market does not look like it’s stopping any time soon. Following the unveiling and release of Nvidia’s first Ampere powered graphics cards, the company appears to be getting ready to fill out the more budget conscious end of the range. The latest leaks detail two mid-range RTX 3000 Series cards that are expected to launch in early 2021. The leak comes from well-known source Kopite7kimi, and details the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 Ti graphics cards, both of which are reported to use the GA106 Ampere GPU....
