Monster Hunter Rise has just released for the Nintendo Switch and for the avid amiibo collectors out there, there are three different amiibo figures released alongside it. The Palamute and Palico amiibo figures are both standard sizes, whereas the Magnamalo figure is larger. All three amiibo figures are available separately, though the Magnamalo amiibo also came included with the collector’s edition of the game. Scanning each amiibo gives you a unique set of cosmetic armor, as well as lottery tickets....

The summer event is back in Monster Hunter: World, and it brings a lot of new and interesting items to unlock. The Sizzling Spice Fest adds fun new event quests, odd layered armor, and an assortment of weapon pendants. As with all events, most of the previous event quests have made a return as well, so there is a lot for players to check off their lists. The event runs from July 22 to August 6....

Back in February of 2019, a PEGI listing leaked the existence of a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remaster. Nothing official has been announced since then, but now the game has appeared on yet another ratings board, this time one in South Korea. What’s interesting is that the ratings board names the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, indicating that multiplayer may not be part of the package....

In just a couple of weeks, Mortal Kombat 11 fans will be able to check out the Aftermath expansion in all its glory. It seems to pick up where the gory fighting game ended (or at least one of its endings) and brings the Kombat Pack 1 DLC characters, such as Nightwolf and Sindel, into the fold. Players will be stealing Kronika’s Crown at the behest of Shang Tsung, a strange move to say the least, in order to avoid “dooming” the future....

Although many Mortal Kombat 11 fans are looking forward to the official release of the game, many are also looking at the recent revelations of Noob Saibot, Shang Tsung, and more. The full Mortal Kombat 11 beta roster has even recently been revealed, so there’s plenty of information surrounding the gory fighting title prior to its official release. Now, it seems as if Babalities, a portmanteau for Baby and Fatalities, will also have a place in MK11....

The newest trailer for Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge was released yesterday and gives a preview of Scorpion fighting a Lin Kuei warrior. Scorpion uses his famous chains and teleportation moves from the games, honoring his pedigree. The previous trailer released showed off dialogue by the Earthrealm warriors, but the newest trailer displays fighting that every Mortal Kombat fan wants to see. Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge is an animated film that will follow Scorpion in his quest to track down Sub-Zero in a bitter rivalry....

A free update is coming this summer to My Hero One’s Justice 2 that will add a quirky new Photo Mode to the 3D arena fighter based on the popular manga and anime series My Hero Academia. In a recent press release, Bandai Namco announced that the new Photo Mode will allow would-be photographers to take snapshots of up to four My Hero One’s Justice 2 characters at a time, adjusting the expressions and positions of their favorite heroes and villains from the game....

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Fox began hosting NASCAR races using a video game with real drivers. With NASCAR games arguably having a larger audience than ever as a result, 704Games’ NASCAR Heat 5 has now been announced, and will be published by Motorsport Games on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in July. NASCAR revealed the game through a press release, touting its in-house title as “the definitive NASCAR video game experience” complete with an “immersive” Career Mode and a new Testing Mode to “perfect your car set-up....

Netflix’s latest crime drama, The Woods, based on a novel by Harlan Coben, is a twisty turny tale which sees a horrible crime and a mysterious disappearance resurface 25 years later. It’s a six part series with each ep lasting just under an hour which builds to a strange, troubling and fascinating conclusion. Not everything in The Woods is clear, and not everything is cut and dried – that’s a very deliberate choice in a show that plays with our ideas of guilt and innocence and what lengths people will go to for the ones they love....

Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot is set to enter the spy genre with Skydance Media’s Heart of Stone, a thriller described as a female spin on the James Bond and Mission: Impossible franchises. Now, Netflix has acquired worldwide rights to Heart of Stone following a competitive auction for the espionage film. Skydance’s Heart of Stone was first announced in early December 2020 after Gadot closed an eight-figure deal to star in the project....

SSX has come a long way, not just from its beginnings in 2000, but also from the original reboot title, Deadly Descents, when it was first unveiled. Set to take place from October 8th to the 11th, Nightstream began as a collaboration between 5 genre-focused film festivals, all of which had been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic....

Nintendo will host a Nintendo Direct presentation on the last day of E3 2021. On June 15 at 9 AM PST (12 PM EST), Nintendo will air a 40-minute Direct that will be “focused exclusively on software,” and “mostly releasing in 2021.” The interesting thing here is that Nintendo’s announcement specifically excludes any discussion on the Switch Pro, which has been the subject of numerous leaks for the past week. A Switch Pro listing in Mexico seems to be the biggest sign of an impending announcement yet, although numerous other rumors reveal the Switch Pro’s enhanced hardware features....
