Outriders, the latest game from Bulletstorm co-developers People Can Fly, is scheduled to be released on April 1. A demo for Outriders launched on February 25, and some gamers have already determined how to farm legendary equipment. In the demo, players are introduced to the planet of Enoch, which they can explore alone or with up to two others - and Outriders even supports crossplay between platforms. Characters who carry legendary gear will certainly find it easier to survive the hostile planet, so it’s advantageous for players to learn how to increase their chances at looting the best hardware....

If gamers ever wonder how much work goes in to designing an Overwatch character, it’s worth taking a look at the concept art for some of the game’s heroes. One notable example of a character that has undergone a tremendous change in development is Chinese climatologist Mei, who apparently used to be a bounty hunter by the name of Frostbite. Since Blizzard Entertainment first teased the public with news of Overwatch 2 during the company’s 2019 BlizzCon, not a lot of information has been shared about the competitive FPS sequel. As rumors about delays in development seem to be circulating online, the development team may have recently dropped fans a strong clue that a future Overwatch 2 map may be based on a specific city in Poland. Players are hoping that 2021 will be the year of Overwatch 2, even though fans continue to play the original title, and share so much player-created content such as impressive Overwatch character cosplays....

Overwatch’s Competitive Play may soon mirror the tournament scene, as a proposed one-character limit is discussed, which could launch with a future update. The days of double Torbjorns and Bastions will soon be a thing of the past, as Overwatch developer Blizzard outlines plans to improve ranked play moving forward. According to Blizzard, an upcoming patch will make it so teams can only select one of each character while in the Competitive Play mode, thereby eliminating “OP team compositions” and hopefully alleviating some of the frustration....

In a new comment on the Overwatch subreddit, game director Jeff Kaplan states that Blizzard will nerf Torbjörn’s turret damage for the PS4 and Xbox One come next month. Ever since the release of Overwatch last month, millions of players have had plenty of time to get up to speed with Blizzard’s newest first-person shooter. Gargwa are chubby birds, like ostriches or the dodo, and hitting them in a specific spot will have them drop a material, which often will be a Gargwa egg. But if you just go up and kill one to carve it, you will never actually get a Gargwa egg....

Eager Mortal Kombat fans excited to see the new film adaption will have to wait a little longer. The release date has been pushed back, but only by only a week. Considering the lack of trials and freebies in this day and age, I didn’t exactly go into the NEO: The World Ends With You demo thinking I’d get much out of it. Tuesday morning saw the release of patch notes for a forthcoming Fallout 76 update, one of the largest updates yet for the online multiplayer game. By releasing the patch notes early, Bethesda’s able to show that this will not be a content-focused patch. Rather, the patch will make myriad small bug fixes, optimizations, and quality of life changes. Fallout 76’s patch will go live today, December 11, on PC and will arrive on consoles starting December 13....

Bucking the trend of triple-A marketing by actually showing us what we’ll be playing next year, there should be no doubt left in your mind about this long-awaited follow-up to developer Flying Wild Hog’s rebooted series. Much like my initial impressions led me to believe, this looks like the successor to Bulletstorm we’ll never get....
