Many hockey fans look forward to the yearly NHL games, which are the most popular hockey video games, so the issues with NHL 21 have been a big disappointment to many. NHL 21 is delayed and will only be available on PS4 and Xbox One, which may be a letdown for PC gamers now that EA is officially confirming there won’t be a PC version. Some of the confusion comes from a mistaken product page GameStop posted for a PC version of NHL 21, which brought some fans’ hopes up despite the series not being released on PC for the past several years....
Square Enix just announced Nier Replicant patch 1.0.3 will hit Steam servers soon. The patch “will apply fixes that allow the game to run at a stable frame rate of 60 FPS,” which is great news for Nier Replicant players that have been suffering through dropped frames, stuttering animations, and bizarre slowdowns during certain sections of the game. However, there’s a bit of a problem with the patch that Square Enix is quite aware of....
The original Nier’s gameplay wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t exactly thrilling either. Taking inspiration from Automata, 2021’s Nier Replicant has more or less completely revised the core combat. Nier’s action is now faster and flashier, encouraging players to juggle Shades and chain combos with a level of focus that simply wasn’t present in Nier Gestalt. Best of all, Nier Replicant’s combat has been updated without stripping away anything that made the original game so unique in the first place....

Nintendo was the final company to showcase its upcoming games at E3. Today, the company released its Direct, focusing on upcoming titles, announcements, and Super Smash Bros. Interestingly, Nintendo had said it would focus on games releasing in 2018. Two games shown in the Direct are releasing in 2019: the new Fire Emblem and a new game featuring mechs. Super Smash Bros. was saved for last, and had the longest reveal....

The development of 0x10c has come and gone from the media spotlight, with sporadic details and screenshots being released with little warning or schedule. Markus Persson, better known by his online pseudonym of Notch, finally talked more about why the game is slow to come to fruition, and admits that 0x10c isn’t a fun game yet - but it has the potential to become one.
