Nintendo’s president may have offered an apology to Nintendo Switch users for Joy-Con drift, but a lawsuit is forcing him to make no further comments. The flaw in the Switch’s controls has aggravated Nintendo users for years and it looks like the attempt to resolve the issue is not going to arrive any faster. Nintendo of Japan president Shintaro Furukawa delivered an apology to Nintendo Switch owners in a recent Q&A stating that he “apologize[s] for any inconvenience caused” regarding the Switch controllers....

The rumors were true…sort of. A new version of the Nintendo Switch, with larger 7-inch OLED screen, is hitting stores on Oct. 8. The Nintendo Switch OLED will cost $349.99 and will come in two color variants, the traditional red-and-blue Joy-con color combination as well as the new white Joy-Con combo complete with a white dock. While 4K functionality has been the long-rumored star feature of a Nintendo Switch upgrade, the Switch OLED isn’t that extensive an upgrade....

Nintendo has always been averse to sharing its game music on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, but in this instance, the Japanese company has shared almost two hours of Fire Emblem Heroes’ soundtrack on YouTube. The video includes 45 tracks that derive mostly from the history of Fire Emblem, but there are a few original songs from the Heroes OST as well. The Nintendo Mobile channel has conveniently time-stamped every song, so you can instantly go to whatever takes your fancy....

Microsoft just unveiled the latest trailer of Ori and the Will of the Wisps during its press conference at E3 today in Los Angeles. The upcoming Metroidvania platfomer will be released on February 11, 2020, and it will also be available to the Xbox Game Pass. Will of the Wisps will serve as the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest, which is the gorgeous 2015 game that was able to sell enough copies in its first week to earn a profit....

Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan is famous for his forays into the game’s official forums. The man in charge of the multiplayer shooter has previously responded to fans unhelpfully criticizing Blizzard and questioning just how much attention the company pays to its own game. Kaplan’s latest troll takedown may be his most enjoyable yet, as he responded to one Overwatch player (CosmicGhost) who wanted to know more about the game’s ban system....

Not too long ago, Blizzard Entertainment officially announced the start date for the 2018 version of Overwatch’s annual Halloween Terror event, which is going to be kicking off next week for players on all platforms. Following this announcement, the video game developer has now decided to reveal a Legendary skin for Doomfist that’s on the way that turns the cybernetically enhanced hero into a watery creature from the depths. As seen in the tweet below, Overwatch players will soon be able to nab themselves the Legendary Swamp Monster Doomfist skin in the team-based shooter, as it turns the Nigerian martial artist into a version of the classic Universal Studios monster, the Creature from the Black Lagoon....

Blizzard has released a new balancing patch for Overwatch on August 13, 2020. DPS, support, and tank heroes are all affected by this patch, so all players should pay attention to these changes so they’re not caught by surprise while playing. All of these changes are currently live for all versions of Overwatch, with Brigitte, Orisa, and Roadhog being some of the heroes that are most affected by these changes. A total of seven different heroes have been changed with this patch, making for a lot of possible changes in the game’s meta to occur as well....

Most fighting games don’t have crafting systems, but the same can’t be said for Mortal Kombat 11. Mortal Kombat 11 players can find a Forge in the Krypt that can produce new items if they know the recipes and have the right crafting ingredients to use. Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt recipes can be found in various chests, but they usually reveal just the first two ingredients required, meaning players have to experiment to figure out what the third ingredient is....
