It’s been a week since the launch of Outriders, a looter-shooter developed by People Can Fly and published by Square Enix. The game has been in development for the last five years. At launch, there were some notable bugs in the game, but the most annoying issue was without a doubt was server downtime. Outriders servers suffered three days of disconnection, in-game lag, and players not able to get in at all....
The Overwatch universe is full of unique heroes, so much so that the term “hero” is a bit of a stretch. Several villains from the Talon terrorist organization are playable, with Reaper and Widowmaker being far from what many would consider heroic. Likewise, the criminals Junkrat and Roadhog are only out for themselves, with the fully self-centered goals of protecting Junkrat’s mysterious treasure and committing random crimes for more money. It seems like Overwatch 2 will be continuing this tradition of having a mix of heroes and villains, as a recent rumor suggests that the Junker Queen is finally becoming playable....
In case you didn’t hear, Blizzard recently livestreamed an extensive look at Overwatch 2 and it’s revamped PvP mode. While there’s a lot to talk about, the change that’s drawing the most attention and controversy at the moment is the news that Overwatch 2 will alter the previous games 6v6 PvP format and embrace a standard 5v5 format. According to Blizzard, these changes will help reduce the amount of on-screen chaos (thus making it easier to follow the action) and streamline the style of the average match....
In the most recent Overwatch Developer Update video, game director Jeff Kaplan teased that the annual Summer Games event would return sooner than fans expected. Summer Games typically kicks off in August, but the event is now live in Overwatch, bringing with it special game modes, limited-time skins, and more until it wraps up on August 5. The Overwatch Summer Games 2019 event is bringing back all of the skins that have been featured in past Summer Games events, plus some new ones....

Super Nintendo World has stamps to collect akin to PlayStation trophies, but almost everyone reading this will have to accept they will never collect them all. After a number of delays, Super Nintendo World has finally opened its doors to the public. As well as some cool rides and bizarre food options, attending the park will be as much of an interactive experience as it is anything else. 2K Games VP of Publishing Murray Pannell has left the company after five years. The former marketing director for PlayStation UK, helped lead 2K’s international expansion in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Pannell, who got his start in the gaming industry at Virgin Interactive in 1999, has worked at Electronic Arts, Microsoft Xbox, Ubisoft and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, where he has held product manager and executive marketing positions....

While the Zombie mode has become somewhat of a staple in the Treyarch side of the Call of Duty franchise, it doesn’t look like it is making the jump to the Infinity Ward side any time soon.
