Upcoming indie live-simulation game Paralives has been quietly amassing a huge amount of love and support. Those who love The Sims have been particularly drawn in by the in-development title, which is said to offer much-loved features that we saw in previous Sims titles but which The Sims 4 currently lacks. Over the last few months, the Paralives team has been revealing small snippets of settings, buildings, furniture, and mechanics in the game and now we finally get to see the stars of the game, the Parafolk....

In a recent interview with IGN, Monster Hunter Rise producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yasunori Ichinose shared some insight on how the games will be named moving forward. From the interview, it seems that Capcom is opting to move past the numbered nomenclature that fans are used to in favor of more descriptive titles. When Monster Hunter Rise was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show, fans were caught off guard. Some expected to see Monster Hunter 5 or even Monster Hunter World 2, but they were instead treated to an entirely new game....

More users are currently streaming on Mixer than YouTube Gaming and Facebook Gaming combined, a new report has found. Despite its userbase, Mixer is struggling to keep up in hours watched, falling behind the other platforms. Twitch’s viewership and hours-watched still dominate the field, with Twitch setting new viewership records through Q1 2020. The information comes from Streamlabs, a live streaming software company that regularly publishes reports on the state of video game streaming....

Mortal Kombat 11 and Days Gone topped sales charts again in May after doing the same in April. That is according to NPD Group analyst Mat Piscatella, who has also revealed that MK11 is the top-selling game this year so far. The NetherRealm title finished the month of April as the best seller, with Days Gone just in behind. This was pretty much the same for May, with the two holding on firmly for the first and second spots atop the charts....

Furthermore, the level of narrative depth in a VR experience could have an effect, too.
