While the jury is still out on Overwatch 2, early previews of the game’s recent Closed Alpha have confirmed a number of Hero alterations that will likely change the way you look at your favorite (and least favorite) characters. Even though Overwatch 2‘s new Hero characters have been stealing much of the attention so far, it’s really the various buffs, nerfs, and reworks to the game’s existing roster of Heroes that will likely have the biggest impact on the game in its earliest days....

Overwatch’s new Uprising event has captured the community’s attention for the past week thanks to the newly-introduced Uprising PvE game mode, but for PC players, the event has proved to be easier than expected thanks to an exploit that stops enemies from spawning for a good portion of the map. However, a new PC patch has now fixed the exploit and players will have to complete Overwatch’s Uprising PvE game mode the old-fashioned way....

Mortal Kombat 11 just released a new update that added some Halloween skins to the popular fighting game. Dataminers wasted no time digging through the files for the latest Mortal Kombat 11 update, potentially discovering three new DLC characters in the process. First and foremost, it appears as though Rambo, as in the character from the Sylvester Stallone movies, is going to be added to Mortal Kombat 11 as DLC. This would definitely fit the game’s theme of adding 80s icons as guest characters, with Rambo fitting in nicely alongside The Terminator and RoboCop....

A movie based on the Mortal Kombat franchise is currently in development for 2021 under the direction of Simon McQuoid; one that will have more realistic violence than the games according to Mehcad Brooks, the actor playing Jax. However the film’s co-producer Todd Garner took to Twitter yesterday, telling fans the ongoing coronavirus pandemic could impact its release. His comment came in response to an eager Mortal Kombat fan asking if the coronavirus situation will delay the movie, which is a reboot of the often derided films from the 90s....

MWM Interactive has just released a brand new trailer for a new horror title, Mundaun, being developed by Swiss based developer Hidden Fields. The short trailer shows a small amount of the upcoming title’s gameplay alongside some cinematics, all with a retro theme that really elevates the creep factor in certain scenarios. Hidden Fields has been developing Mundaun since 2017, and the debut title for the company is set to launch in Spring 2021, so it’s a bit of a ways out at the time of this writing....

Now, the Legend of Zelda franchise needs no introduction since it is one of the most enduring and beloved gaming series of all time and one of Nintendo’s hottest properties of all. Forsaken, the next major expansion of Destiny 2 has been revealed, and developer Bungie is promising that it will bring big changes to the game. When the expansion launches in September, players can expect a story campaign, new Crucible maps, the new Gambit PvE/PvP hybrid mode, and more. Of course, as a looter-shooter, there will always be more gear to collect including exotics. In its livestream and ViDoc revealing Forsaken, Bungie showed fans a glimpse of a new exotic rocket launcher that will come with Destiny 2: Forsaken....

Platform-exclusive items routinely appear in Epic Games’ wildly popular battle royale title Fortnite, so it should be no surprise that some new PlayStation 4 exclusive items are on the way. The only requirement is that these Fortnite players must have a PS Plus Subscription, and considering most likely do anyway, it’s not that big of a deal. These new items appear to be a new glider and a new contrail....

With the latest iteration of the South Park RPG game series from Ubisoft being stricken by similar delays to the first entry, players were eagerly expecting news on the title at E3 2017. Ubisoft came through, dropping a new trailer for the game and upholding its updated release date: October 17th, 2017. The trailer can be seen in its entirety below, and details the broken alliance in South Park: The Fractured But Whole between the two teams of superheroes of South Park....

Nexomon: Extinction is the next game to take on the phenomenon that is Pokemon, which isn’t necessarily as crazy as it seems, given the success of other copycat games having relative success in their own right - such as the surprisingly successful title, Temtem, that released for PC via Steam Early Access early this year. Nexomon: Extinction boasts a return to “classic monster-catching” while offering a “wider choice” than what players might be used to in terms of the starting companion that players can select at the beginning of the adventure (which is clearly a not-so-subtle dig at the limited selection of starting companions in the Pokemon games)....

The Pokémon Company has announced a new expansion to the Pokémon Sword & Shield card game, called Darkness Ablaze, set to launch on August 14th in the West. The expansion will include seven Pokémon VMAX, 14 powerful Pokémon V, 17 Trainer cards, three new Special Energy cards, as well as four full-art Supporter cards. All in all, the expansion will include 185+ cards, some of which we haven’t even seen yet (but will be available in the upcoming Isle of Armor DLC, slated for release on June 17th)....
