A now-deleted Tweet from the official Brazilian Xbox account has claimed that Halo Infinite is launching on November 9. The Tweet in question was put up and quickly deleted, but not before being noticed and screenshotted across Twitter. It read, “Halo’s legendary multiplayer combat returns reinvented and evolving over time with seasonal updates, new modes and maps, and community-focused content. Halo Infinite arrives on November 9”. Although Halo Infinite was a pretty big part of Microsoft’s E3 showcase and had its single-player and multiplayer portions detailed, it remained undated by the show’s end, only having a vague “Holiday 2021”....

All of Nvidia’s efforts on the powerful new GeForce RTX 30 series have been focused on two key elements: performing as many calculations per second without melting, and delivering those calculations to the output device accurately and quickly. Nvidia’s Ampere Archetecture is designed to draw up to 400W of electrical power and turn it into 30 Shader-TFLOPS and 238 Tensor-TFLOPS of processing power at data speeds of up to 1 TB/s system memory bandwidth for graphics applications, such as when rendering the gameplay trailer for Cyberpunk 2077....

“Get ready” for an announcement from Nvidia. The latest tweet seems to be teasing some new GPU news that will arrive on May 31 at 10 AM PDT (1 PM EST). That’s coincidentally the same time that Nvidia will host its keynote address at Computex, Asia’s biggest technology conference. What news is coming? The Overwatch League returns once again this weekend with a handful of great matches taking place. Outriders had a pretty rough launch, all things considered. There were server login issues that prevented anyone from playing, and then when you could play, the inventory wipe bug removed all your gear so you had to start over from square one–an issue that was thankfully resolved. Even a month later, Outriders is still suffering from some game-breaking glitches that can leave players throwing their controller at the screen. Chief among them is the damage mitigation bug, which has been around since earlier this month....

Titanium is one of the rarest yet most useful resources in Outriders. This rare metal is needed to increase the rarity or level of your items. The various non-Competitive Play game modes in Overwatch have been one of the most popular additions to the multiplayer shooter, and if a new post from the game’s director Jeff Kaplan is to be believed, players can expect the arrival of even more new game modes soon. In a new post over at the Blizzard Forums, a fan wrote up a suggestion about implementing a Gun Game-like mode into Overwatch, whereby everyone is thrown into free-for-all combat, an elimination will move a player to the next hero, and the winner is crowned once someone manages to get an elimination with every character....

Blizzard has been teasing players with Overwatch’s new Uprising Event for a few days but now Jeff Kaplan, Blizzard’s Vice President, has released a new Developer Update cryptically telling players some of the event’s details without giving away too much. In October, that narrative will spice up even more in the form of an official Overwatch cookbook. Book publisher Simon & Schuster will release a cookbook based on Overwatch on October 1 for $35. The book will feature over 90 recipes, all inspired by characters in the game....

Earlier this year, Sony officially announced that it is working on a new PlayStation VR headset for the PS5. And last week, the company published a post on its PlayStation Blog showcasing the first look at the brand-new PlayStation VR2 controllers for PS5. Now, it looks like we’ve got our first game for PSVR2 confirmed, too. Pop offs are seen as acceptable and a legitimate way to relieve tension in the professional fighting game community, with many feeling that they add to the atmosphere of events. However, sometimes pop offs may go too far and get a little bit too personal, like the pop off that happened after the Mortal Kombat 11 pro match between Brad “Scar” Vaughn and Leif “Buffalo” Boisvert at the CEO fighting game tournament in Florida....

Confirmation arrives that Mortal Kombat XL will come to PC, and NetherRealm opens an online beta for players on Steam to iron out any problems before it releases. Following hints from the director of Mortal Kombat X on Twitter, confirmation finally arrives that Mortal Kombat XL will be released for PCs after all. In addition, NetherRealm Studios is already working on the online experience, opening a beta to PC players....

Last weekend, Mortal Shell took center stage at the PCGaming Show with a brand new gameplay trailer showing off the game’s extremely Soulslike action. Mountain Dew will once again sponsor a major FPS release in 2016, but the popular soft drink brand is ditching the Call of Duty franchise for Titanfall. EA clearly hasn’t given up on Titanfall 2, even though the first game in the series wasn’t the runaway success that the publisher was hoping for. The mech-based FPS franchise was intended to compete with genre heavyweights like Call of Duty — and it seems that marketing efforts for the sequel are set to reflect that....
