Historically, Labor Day is seen as one of the slowest weekends on the moviegoing calendar. Often considered the endpoint of summer in American culture, the three-day holiday before kids go back to school is usually reserved for abandoned films that never quite worked as intended for Hollywood studios. It’s the time of cinematic dregs. At least that was the conventional wisdom before 2020, and before Tenet and Mulan. Indeed, history has changed and changed again with Warner Brothers’ Tenet and Disney’s Mulan now set to open during the same Labor Day timeframe, but in markedly different rollouts....

Throughout the years, a number of major video games have seen their unique concepts or worlds translated into the medium of board games. From Pokemon and Resident Evil to Minecraft and even Bloodborne, it seems a lot of major franchises are looking to make the jump into board games to offer fans a brand new experience in a familiar world. A Redditor has discovered a new VALORANT glitch that allows Cypher’s Spycam to float in midair. Once placed in the air, the camera is still fully functional, allowing Cypher to look through it and spy on any enemy players who may be caught in its vision. The Spycam can typically be easily destroyed by enemies, though this glitch makes it incredibly hard to locate and shoot down. As demonstrated in Reddit user bo0kel’s video, the glitch involves lining up the Spycam in an empty spot....

Nintendo has announced it will be hosting a Direct later this week. The show will be 50 minutes long and feature news about existing and upcoming games. Nintendo isn’t in the business of officially announcing its news well-ahead of time. It likes to keep things under wraps until they are pretty much ready to go. It demonstrated that today by announcing when the next Nintendo Direct will take place. Nintendo fans don’t have long to wait as the presentation will be airing tomorrow, February 17, 2021, at 5 pm EST....

With the conclusion of the Resident Evil film series, it’s reasonable to assume that Capcom may be looking into rebooting the movies or creating a TV series based on its survival-horror franchise. Considering this, it’s hard to fault fans for falling for a fake poster making the rounds that suggests a Resident Evil Netflix series is already in the works, with fall 2017 its supposed release date. The fake Resident Evil Netflix poster is convincing enough, featuring two large double doors covered in spiderwebs and a general visual aesthetic reminiscent of the series....

AMC (not to be confused with the theater company) has recently published a series of Q&A interviews with cast and crew members of NOS4A2, the supernatural horror drama currently in its second season. One of the world’s most popular anime is going on a slight hiatus. One Piece will have to be put on hold for a bit due to the coronavirus pandemic. Japan is in a state of emergency because of COVID-19, making it so that the voice-actors for One Piece cannot travel to the studio to do their work. The show is currently in The Wano Arc, and fans are eagerly anticipated what will come next for the heroes, but will have to wait....

The second Outriders broadcast showcases a ton of new information for the game, including how side quests work, how the Pyromancer plays, how the music brings the game to life, and much, much more.
