We discovered ourWildEarth, the new Twitch channel from Wild Earth, last month with several live-streams of the African savannah. They got started late last year and have already acquired over 15,000 followers into live-streamed nature docs. One of the first places you’ll happen upon while playing Outriders is Rift Town. This place is the Enoch Colonization Authority’s last defense against the unpleasant Insurgents. Rift Town was built within deep ravines as a last-ditch effort of survival by the humans after the First City was wiped out by the anomaly storm. What used to be humanity’s haven became nothing but a Wreckage Zone and the place they have to thrive on now is a desolate, rusty place....

Four years ago, Blizzard Entertainment released a game that inspired tons of knock-offs and changed the way we see multiplayer gaming. Overwatch has been such a massive part of the gaming community since its release. Thankfully Blizzard was smart enough that the microtransactions within the game only for the aesthetics. Blizzard has to have a ton of creativity alive among their team to put out so much content every year. With six different seasonal events plus whatever weekend shenanigans they developers keep coming up with, it’s no wonder there are so many skins in the game....

Overwatch has been a popular team-based shooter and this is because of frequent updates, solid mechanics, and a large character roster. While discussions about Overwatch 2 have already begun, the original game is still receiving changes. Most notably updates and changes have been tested through the experimental mode that was introduced earlier this year. A new experimental card is now set to begin fixing the issues in the Assault mode in the game....

The opening and closing segments of anime series are things people tend to get very attached to, as they typically combine great music with visuals paying homage to the show’s characters or plot arcs in artistic ways. As a result some non-Japanese properties have been given similar treatments by fans, such as YouTuber Narmak’s SpongeBob SquarePants anime, and now Blizzard Entertainment’s team-based shooter Overwatch has been given an anime opening....

Not too long ago, Blizzard Entertainment officially confirmed exactly when Overwatch fans would be able start taking part in the team-based shooter’s forthcoming holiday event for 2018 dubbed Winter Wonderland. Now, the developer has decided to give players a taste of some of the cosmetics that can be earned during the in-game Christmas celebration, by unveiling the Sugar Plum Fairy skin for the support character Mercy. As seen in the tweet below from the official Overwatch Twitter account, Mercy’s Legendary Sugar Plum Fairy skin changes the Swiss character’s white Valkyrie Suit into one of purples, magentas, and aquamarine greens....

It’s called Pathfinder Arena, and it’s going to hit crowdfunding next year. Pathfinder Arena is set in the Pathfinder universe’s Age of Lost Omens setting. It will see two to players take up the roles of adventurers fighting in an area....

While gamers don’t usually think of PC builds as being “delicious”, one YouTuber is challenging that by making a PC out of food. Micah Laplante has published a video showing how he made a PC out of lasagne, the classic and extremely tasty Italian pasta dish. To make the computer, Laplante hot glued computer components (ripped from an Asus laptop) between sheets of uncooked lasagne pasta. The computer features a strip of USB ports and an HDMI port hot-glued to the lasagne sheets....

Mundaun promises to be a chilling mix of horror, exploration, puzzles, and eerie artstyle. The game takes place on the eponymous mountain, Mundaun, sequestered deep in the Alps and layered in sinister mystery. The player character is brought to the mountain by the death of his grandfather, only to find an evil mystery afoot that must be solved through exploration and puzzle solving. In a brief preview, the game’s creator Michel Ziegler walked Ethan Stearns, the EVP of the game’s publisher, through a segment of gameplay in the second of three large areas....

The first trailer for Cyan Worlds’ Kickstarter funded follow-up to the Myst series, Obduction, gives a glimpse into the varied and vivid locations players can look forward to exploring. In 2013, a Kickstarter campaign for a spiritual successor to iconic 90s adventure game Myst proved to be an enormous success, raising more than $1.3 million to fund development. Now, the team at Cyan Worlds have released the first trailer for Obduction — and the footage looks very promising indeed....

Naughty Dog releases the last video for its ‘Making Of’ series for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, revealing that developers want its game to make fans laugh and cry. After releasing several behind-the-scenes developer diaries featuring Naughty Dog’s team discussing of the evolution of its Nathan Drake-centric series as well as explicating its plans to have Uncharted 4 push technical boundaries on the PS4, the studio has now released the fourth and final installment in its run of “Making Of” clips on YouTube....

Narcos, the hit crime drama from Netflix, is coming to a game console near you. For some reason. There’s no denying that Narcos was one of Netflix’s biggest hits. Sure, maybe not quite as big as House of Cards or Orange is the New Black, but it was still huge, and now it’s going to become a video game. According to a recent trailer posted on YouTube, Narcos production company Gaumont International is teaming up with British publisher Curve digital to take the drug-lord focused drama and turn it into a video game....

PlayStation maker Sony have patented some new tech with the aim of eliminating loading screens from games in which it’s used. The company should release the PS5 next year and it’s looking to make it their most user-friendly system. Lowering loading times or ridding games of them completely would surely work to push some PS5s. Details of the patent, which could be found here, describe the venture as a “System and method for dynamically loading game software for smooth gameplay....

The world is finally receiving a new Pokémon Snap and it has had the unexpected side effect of showing up the mainline entries in the series by looking way better than the latest games. The reveal of the Nintendo Switch was exciting to Pokémon fans around the world, as the hybrid nature of the console meant that the mainline Pokémon games would finally be coming to a home console. Game Freak had always held-off on bringing the mainline Pokémon games to a Nintendo console, even during the Pokémania boom, as it believed that the social elements of the game were of paramount importance....

A new mobile app surfaces that functions a lot like Pokevision, allowing Pokemon GO players to accurately track Pokemon, find rare Pokemon, and know how long they are available. When sites like Pokevision were shut down by the latest Pokémon GO update, most knew it was only a matter of time before a new breed of apps and sites appeared. And just two days after the update, one third party tracking site has risen, and it might actually be the best one yet....

The Walking Dead comic by Robert Kirkman ended mid-2019 quite suddenly, leaving many of the zombie story’s biggest fans in disbelief. Today Kirkman announced a new comic named Negan Lives. Negan Lives is a 36-page one-shot, meaning that it’s a single, standalone issue with no future plans to directly continue....

Thanks to a new update, your Microsoft Surface Duo can now become a handheld gaming console. Microsoft’s chief product officer, Panos Panay, announced in a recent Tweet that Microsoft’s latest update provides Xbox Game Pass support for the Microsoft Surface Duo, which will allow you to play over 50 Xbox games on the dual-screen device. Prior to this update, Microsoft announced in April that it would finally be bringing xCloud to iOS and PC....
