Paradox Interactive has acquired Iceflake Studios, continuing its trend of acquiring well-performing organizations with which they have been or are currently still collaborating with. The Finnish developer, Iceflake Studios, is hard at work on Surviving the Aftermath, a strategy building title set in a post-apocalyptic world currently available in Steam Early access and Xbox Game Preview. The acquisition should not be surprising for those who have followed Paradox Interactive over the last decade....

For the first time in the Kingdom Hearts series, fans will be able to experience both the English and Japanese voiceover of all the games. The Epic Games Store has listed both languages on its store pages. Eagle-eyed fan Ryusuke VA spotted the feature and shared it on Twitter. He said, “Thank Christmas, dual audio.” This move by Disney and Square Enix is unprecedented as the Japanese voice actors have never been featured in a Western product before....

Sadly, Lockley only made one appearance in the show, revealed to still be working as Khonshu’s assassin, despite the moon god’s deal with Spector and Steven Grant....

Now that the new Mortal Kombat movie is out in (most) theaters and streaming on HBO Max, fans of the games can see just how well their favorite characters have made the transition to live-action. This is of course not the first time they’ll be making that jump, as we’d gotten the first adaptation back in 1995, which was followed by a 1997 sequel, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. Both films were far from perfect, but their characters had at least proven to be somewhat faithful to the looks of their video game counterparts at the time....

The long wait is over as NetherRealm Studios has revealed the next fighters to join Mortal Kombat 11. Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Sindel, and most surprising of all, Todd McFarlane’s Spawn will be joining the action! Two additional characters will be coming as well, however they have not been revealed. Shang Tsung is no surprise, as the character has been teased since before the release of the game and also highly-anticipated. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa’s likeness is being used for reference based on the 1995 movie-adaptation of the film....

Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 5 just began, introducing a ton of new content — including secret changes not mentioned in the Season 5 patch notes. Fans of Activision’s first-person shooter franchise are still waiting to hear about the upcoming Call of Duty 2020, rumored to be Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and it seems more information may finally be coming early next week. Activision sent out a mysterious crate to its Call of Duty partners today, including the news site Charlie Intel, that cannot be opened until Monday, August 10 at 12:00 p....

We’re just over a month away from NEO: The World Ends With You arriving on PS4 and Switch, and to get people hyped (and probably test the game’s balance and features), Square Enix is hosting a free demo tomorrow starting at 1 PM EST (10 AM PST). Best of all, whatever progress you make during the demo can be saved so you can return to where you left off as soon as the game launches in July....

Netherrealm has been celebrating Pride Month with the usual corporate LGBTQ+ flag alterations to its logo and banners on social media. However, it also ran an event in its mobile version of Injustice 2, one where you beat up a queer character. The tweet has since been deleted but Netherrealm shared a statistic of how many people had successfully beaten up bisexual character Poison Ivy in the game as a celebration of Pride Month....

Despite being announced a few years back, Aliens: Colonial Marines isn’t releasing until 2013. Fans will have to wait patiently until then to partake in some Xenomorph-killing, though these new screenshots should help tie them over – or make them more excited! Either way, the game looks good. SEGA hasn’t shown of much of the multiplayer component for Aliens: Colonial Marines, especially in regards to Xenomorphs. Details are still sparse, but at least we’ve got a look at the game’s multiplayer lobby....

Most notably, the D&D designers are getting previous books ready to be compatible with the big changes Tasha’s will bring. Not too long ago, Wizards released a Sage Advice document. Sage Advice is like a mix between D&D patch notes and rule clarifications. It answers fan questions about the wording around certain spells or abilities, and also makes changes to those things....

Mobile game developer DeNA recently revealed on Twitter that it is currently in partnership with The Pokemon Company to work on a new mobile game for the Pokemon franchise. DeNA is no stranger in developing mobile games for Nintendo given that it has already produced several successful titles for the Japanese publisher such as Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, and Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. The venture between DeNA and The Pokemon Company was revealed during a financial meeting held recently....

The Uncharted movie may not be out until February 18, 2022, but there’s still the occasional tease of Tom Holland floating about as Nathan Drake. In the latest round of photos from the film, you get exactly one whole image, and it features both Sully and Drake. After several delays, the Uncharted movie has finally settled upon a new date, but it’s no longer on Sony’s schedule until next year.
