Activision Blizzard may still be dealing with the PR fallout regarding the massive layoffs that occurred earlier in the year, resulting in nearly 800 jobs lost, but that doesn’t seem to have slowed it down when it comes to creating new content for Overwatch. In fact, Blizzard have recently put up a new teaser that could be showing off the next map to be included in the game.

It’s only been a couple of months since a map based off of Paris was added, and it looks as if the next one will be set in Cuba; specifically the capital city of Havana. The tease comes from a blog post on the official Overwatch website, which takes the form of a newspaper article about a famous rum distillery that was forced to sell to a mysterious organization and undergone unwelcome changes. For those interested in the title’s lore, it could be main villains Talon that have purchased the distillery and are using it as a front for their schemes. Or maybe it’s someone else entirely? At this point, it’s hard to say.

The article also mentions a sea fort, which could serve as part of the theoretical map, and a dangerous hurricane. The latter could simply be flavor text or maybe it’s suggesting that players will have to deal with heavy storms during gameplay. No other map in Overwatch has incorporated weather effects before so it’s may be unlikely but it would be an interesting mix-up.

Some are theorizing that the article is also teasing the next hero for the game - Alicia Diaz, the woman being interviewed in the paper. Her status as the former rum maker and owner of the distillery doesn’t exactly make her primed for combat, though this is a game with a playable hamster in a tank so who’s to say she couldn’t join the fight? That being said, it hasn’t been that long since the last playable character, Baptiste, was added to Overwatch so we’re probably not due for a new one for a while.

Overwatch is available right now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
